“I have spent the last 3 weeks-- that's 15 business days-- trying to find a primary care provider. Previously, I had waited 8 months for an appointment, and 1.5 years to get a referral for behavioral health. They never came. That's insane. I switched providers. The first PCP they offered me was 55+ mins away.I get about 15 hours off a week and it's never more than 4 hours at a time. That's not do-able logistically. The appt was another 6 months out.Since then I have called over 64 different doctors. SIXTY FOUR.Called Anthem well over 15 times in 3 days trying to find someone, anyone, who could provide care in under a 4 month wait ( FOUR MONTHS) that wasn't over 50 mins away. Today alone:I went to 3 different walk-in community health centers, to Quest Labs to try to pay out of pocket, and did a telehealth appointment all trying to get a referral to an endocrinologist-- I have thyroid issues that are going BANANAS post-covid- and hopefully get a referral to a lab which didn't work when I went back to Quest. For some reason they say on the recorded message when you call that you don't need to make sure your referral went through, that they can call the Dr's office while you are there to get one. They apparently can do NO such thing.Everyone LOVES to tell me to "just call the number on your card" like im some effing moron who can't chew and walk. Oh I'd love to call the primary they put ON MY CARD however he hasn't accepted Anthem since 2019 and even if he did, he hasn't taken a new patient in over 2 years. Rinse and repeat 64 more times but "Just call ANTHEM" I'm already out of spoons. I'm a full-time, very isolated caretaker for my gma with severe dementia so finding the time/energy to do this is already hard mode. While I'm over here trying to be as empathetic as possible taking into consideration THE SITUATION of today; overworked/mistreated/burnt tf out all medical + support staff are these days, it STILL should NOT have been this hard to get basic medical care (without emergency services cuz it's not an emergency) Anthem eventually told me to go to ER when they were on a few calls WITH me to try to find someone who had openings. That's on you, AMERICA. In tears, I actually had gone to the ER this AM to see if they had a lab where I could pay out of pocket/out of network or any urgent care affiliated with them (but not clog up the ER). Or if I could be back by 2pm, maybe I'd just wait in the ER and do it that way since it was a guarantee to be seen/bloodworked.Apparently tears are an unhealthy display of emotion as I was told I'd be admitted to the mental health department (NOT ER) and if there was anyone who I could call to let know... !?!?!?! Bro, I'm crying, not sobbing wildly nor behaving erratically. It's ok to cry, guys. OK SO, off to the parking lot to call Anthem 3 more times Try Planned Parenthood for Primary care. Ravenswood. Urgent care (do you have a lab? can you do referrals?)I finally just started calling places around via MAPS to see if they took Anthem.I landed on Valley Health, who was one PCP that didn't have openings in the next 6+ months. It was just down the street so I decided to go to see what I could do. When I walked in, it was very calm and clean.I waited for all of 30 seconds until someone beckoned me.I'm still crying even though I tried to get my s*** together before going inside.Trying REAL hard to not look craycray.I explained my situation and showed all the doctors on my lists I had attempted to get care from. All the weird BS I had to wade through and all the various psychotic senseless insurance issues.I was met with nothing but compassion and understanding. This lovely human told me. Straight up."I hear you. I see you. We're going to get you help. Today." :OThey did a few breaths with me.Handed me tissues.Spoke softly, explained things clearly.Ok, you freaking amazing person made of pure solid gold. Obviously I'm sobbing silently now but fo“

“Good and fast service with appointment. The lab technician was so good our kid dint even realize when she poked him. Just greatful for such employees. He was also given a snack after the blood draw. The place is very modern and they have these little pods to sit while waiting that was enjoyed by our spl needs child.“

“From the minute I drove into the parking lot, I was impressed. Too often you have to arrive 30-40 minute earlier than your kids appointment to find parking...not here. As soon as you walk in, the bright "cheery" atmosphere puts kids at ease. The food lost upstairs and my entire experience was warm and pleasant.“

“When I was a little girl (about four years old), I did a front flip into a bathtub and broke my right collarbone. Fortunately, I went to Dr. Chen and she made sure I was ok. My shoulder is still a little crooked to this day, but to be honest, it would have been much worse if I hadn't gone to her. Definitely recommend her if you've got a rowdy-a** kid like I was“

“I had my second treatment at the Sunnyvale Infusion Center and I am very satisfied with the service. My nurse Anna Wong deserves a daisy award for making me comfortable and the regimen went smoothly. She said she is just doing her job but she went above and beyond. I was also happy to meet the charge nurse Lydia who helped Anna. I am looking forward to my next treatment so I can see them again. Thank you!Update: I had my 6th and final (already claiming it In Jesus name) chemo today and I truly appreciate the nurses who took care of me. Nurses Gerald, Lydia, And Anna are consistent in being awesome!“

“They are open for virtual visits in some cases which is very convenient. Online account is very helpful, the doctors respond to email quite fast. Even for in person visit they have good parking space never seen it crowded. I have not seen a cafe inside this location unlike the Mountain View PAMF.Wish they open a closing in south San Jose as well.“
