Out of the three, Arthur, the project manager at Universal Builder, was the most professional and made me feel the most at ease. From the beginning, he took the time to walk me through the steps they would take to locate the problem and explain exactly how they would fix it. If something didn’t go as scheduled, he would personally call to reassure me and make sure everything was addressed until I was satisfied—and it was. He was upfront abut the pricing from the beginning, they are not the cheapest but they are not the most expensive either. depending on the job, you don't want to always go with the cheapest contractors and end up with no insurance, and a crappy job. I eneded up getting part of my roof fixed and a brand new Chimney Cap for a very good price.

In the construction world, it can be hard to find true professionalism you can count on. I would absolutely recommend Arthur to anyone.“

“Central Screen Co is awesome! Our cat had ripped through the screen in our window, and I needed it repaired. I showed up at Central Screen Co 30 minutes before they closed on a Friday, expecting that I would leave my screen to be fixed and pick it up on Monday or Tuesday. I was given the option to wait for the screen to be repaired, and I was on my way home in less than 20 minutes with a screen that had been beautifully repaired (with cat proof screening) at a very reasonable price. “I was a small client. Two doors (entry to laundry and garage) in an older house; narrow doors, custom order. I really wanted frosted glass in one; it was available, but custom order and took a while. They said "if it's what you want, get what you want." They were so patient while I made my decision.
It did take a while. But it's been 6+ years now, and I am still happy every time I use the door. It was EXACTLY what I wanted for the space.
I also bought lock sets. They are distinctive, sorta retro/ modern. I liked them so much, I replaced front door with the same. They still get compliments - visitors, neighbors, even the delivery drivers.
If you want a local option (fair prices) to the mega-box stores, this is the place.“
