Well another one of our Emtek door handles bit the dust after 15 yrs. (or is it 20?). As usual, brought the door handles to these nice folks and had a replacement ordered. Will be back in a week to pick it up. Their prices have gone up over the years - but if I was in an emergency and had to get out of the house immediately - would I rather have my wonky handle or a new expensive one? Yeah, that's right, pay the big bucks. Bonus points for being right next door to Costco.

I was looking for a sidelight to replace a rotted one at my home. I spent hours and hours calling ALL over Los Angeles, and most businesses simply wouldn't help me because I was planning on installing it myself. It was very frustrating. Then I contacted Designer Door & Window in Burbank and spoke on the phone to Dylan who was INCREDIBLY helpful with information, advice, AND he found me a sidelight that would work nicely. If you're looking for great and knowledgeable customer service, I can not recommend enough these fine folks at Designer Door & Window. Thank you!

So- I've gotten quotes from five different door and window companies as I am placing an extremely large order (windows and high end doors for a new construction home). Warranted getting multiple bids. No one compared to the amount of time and consideration (and patience!) that we received from Jeff at this company. As you can imagine there are unforeseen revisions and iterations with a new build design and these revisions were met with timely responses. The pricing doesn't really change from company to company all that much, apples to apples, but Jeff did make great suggestions that saved us money without sacrificing quality.
