“We hired K&B Remodeling & Sons to install two replacement French doors at our house. A contractor friend met them when they were engaged on another job down the street, both the contractor and our neighbor were pleased with the job they did. It is a complex job involving a variety of skills--carpentry, finish carpentry and stucco. Yonis and his team at K&B did a great job. We would definitely hire them again.
A couple of high points: they did the job promptly. Unlike some of the other projects around the neighborhood, they didn't start with a bang and then limp across the finish line weeks later. They worked every day from start to finish, arrived on time and all of the workers were always courteous. They worked cleanly--each day and each tradesman cleaned up when their work was finished. There were no piles of trash around the yard! They showed great respect for our home, yard and all of the materials (those doors weren't cheap!). Yonis is a good communicator who keep us appraised of who was coming and when, and if something changed, he let us know.
The job was done on time, on budget and Yonis and I could shake hands at the end and be friends--the sure sign of a good experience. Highly recommended.“

My wife and I completed a full house remodel 5 years ago and are very happy with our kitchen, bathrooms and closet cabinets. We shopped around at a few other places, but both pricing, design and quality lead us to Bay Area Cabinetry. Not many places have thick door fronts which makes a big difference in the feel and durability. We actually skipped a small vanity to cut costs (got one off Wayfair instead), but till this day my wife still regrets not getting it from Bay Area Cabinetry.

The team was knowledgeable, attentive, and made the entire process smooth and easy from start to finish.

They also helped us with installation and their attention to detail is impeccable. We originally ordered the kitchen island to have just an opening for a freestanding microwave, then later, we decided to get a microwave drawer. Bay Area Cabinetry was able to modify the cabinet to accommodate without having to order from Italy and delay the installation.

“Jim is an artist. His work is impeccable! If you would like your cabinets to have the "Wow" factor, Jim is your man. I have owned an Eichler home in Palo Alto since 1985. Currently, I rent it out, but am planning on returning to our Eichler home. Anticipating our return, I asked Jim to build cabinets for my two bathrooms and kitchen. Because of the age of the existing cabinets, I knew Jim would need to tear everything out and rebuild all of them. One of the things I really enjoyed about Jim, was how conscientious he was about my budget. He wanted what was truly best for me. Jim made good suggestions based on what was currently popular and what would last over time while leaving me to make decisions about what elements I wanted to incorporate. He made wonderful suggestions to increase our storage capacity. As the job continued, Jim consulted with me to make sure of any changes. Also, he was very careful to keep interruptions to our tenants' daily lives at a minimum. I highly recommend Jim. He was joy to work with.“

“Martha was a pleasure to work with. She worked closely with our contractor (Genuine Kitchen and Bath) and us to come up with custom cabinets to met our needs. She helped us fine tune what we really wanted and needed in our kitchen and made some game-changing suggestions when we were stuck on certain parts of the design. She was clear about when things were recommended vs. when we needed to trust her experience and knowledge and go with her idea.

One of the best things Martha had us do during the design process was to think about the “zones” of our kitchen and how each area would be used. Based on her suggestion, I planned out where everything would go in the kitchen. This helped her as she designed the spaces that needed drawers vs. cabinets, etc. And it helped us think through where we would store the supplies for our daughter, who has some allergies, to help avoid cross-contamination. It also made the eventual move-in process really efficient - because I knew exactly where everything went.

We love our new kitchen cabinets - the quality, the style, the look and the functionality. A few of our favorite things… the 90 degree corner cabinet, the half-susan pull-out shelves, the deep drawers and our absolute favorite…the drawer that holds our garbage and recycling bins!
