I had back surgery in January, and hip replacement in May, plus progressive knee pain, so I was a mess and a total wreck when I first started. The good news is today I feel better than I have in many years. Kristen Lopez is a wonderful trainer. She is thoughtful, caring, innovative, knowledgable, and has miraculously made my body work better. I highly recommend her and the team at Longevity.“

8950 Villa La Jolla Dr a125, La Jolla“Posting as Anjela GauthierI’m visiting San Diego on an extended trip and injured my knee and was referred here to Coast Physical Therapy in La Jolla.Firstly Carmen and Massoud at front desk are very good people and always ready to do whatever I need- be it print outs or rescheduling appointments and always get back to a person very quickly.I love the jazz music in the background both lulling and motivating.Andy (the owner)seems really good at what he does and Ryan has become my usual (physical therapist-)I feel I’ve gone from having great difficulty in doing ordinary things like entering or exiting a low vehicle etc to being now completely pain free since starting physical therapy and working the exercises-Thanks!“

3282 Governor Dr, San Diego“Linda Anne is amazing. I was referred to her by Jaime Schwartz MD because she is so experienced, knowledgeable, and skilled -- and he was right. She has been treating me for close to two years. She is very warm, listens attentively, and cares a great deal about her clients. It is obvious that she is devoted to her profession, and to learning more about lipedema and lymphedema, because she is always excited to talk about what she just learned. She is eager to share her knowledge about nutrition and supplements for these conditions, which she obviously studies very carefully -- but only if you are interested in hearing about it. She is also a very knowledgeable, experienced aromatherapist. At my request, she has prepared a couple of essential oil mixtures for me (for sleep and migraine headaches) which have been very helpful - especially the one for sleep.
I was also extremely pleased with Shanaz, whom I have seen a few times. Aside from being such a competent lipedema massage therapist, she is a lovely, warm, soft-spoken person who immediately put me at ease during my first appointment. She seems to be very much attuned to what her clients need. Based on conversations I had with her during my treatments, she is also very knowledgeable, and is eager to learn more about lipedema so she can better serve her clients.
Yesterday, I saw Erika for the first time for an acupuncture treatment. I have had acupuncture treatments before, so I knew what to expect. Erika is also very warm and immediately put me at ease. It was obvious that she had thoroughly read my patient questionnaire before my visit because she was already prepared with a couple of options, based on what I wrote about being allergic to adhesive. Although I hadn't scheduled the visit to address my headaches, I had a headache when I arrived. She immediately agreed to include that treatment in my session, and also included some very effective hands-on massage on my neck and shoulders. No more headache! I have already scheduled my next visit with her.
I should add that all of the therapists who have treated me at this spa have been careful to give me what seem to be realistic descriptions of what I should expect to gain from the treatments. I truly appreciate that because I refuse to work with practitioners who try to lead me on with false promises.
The spa is located fifty miles from my home, but the commute is worth it. :)“

“I cannot speak highly enough about the care I have recently received from Solana Beach Physical Therapy. Specifically, I have been working with Joanne, who is the owner of the business in addition to being a compassionate and highly effective clinician. I recently had a total knee replacement and had a very difficult time finding a therapist that my insurance would cover AND one who had the skills and compassion to facilitate my recovery. Within four days she improved my flexion from 83 degrees to over 120 degrees, which is the goal of treatment (!). She managed to achieve this through a combination of Eastern and Western techniques (e.g., cupping, e-stim, ultrasound etc). And what I really liked about her approach was that she met you where you are at, not following some tired agenda of a few exercises. Her treatment plan was new each and every session, tailored to your needs, progress, and pain threshold. She did a wonderful job explaining the various exercises and interventions, and was always very supportive and encouraging. From my perspective, she was simply godsend!!“
