I’ve been seeing Dr. Yoshida every year since 2020. She keeps my back from getting worse & helps my back & neck issues that I developed over the years before meeting her. My bad for not making an appointment sooner to maintain my back health with Dr. Yoshida. It’s 2026 and I only have a photo from 2020 during mask mandate protocols. I’m eternally grateful for Dr. Yoshida’s care & expertise. I came to Dr. Yoshida with extreme back pain which kept me from sleeping at night. I had misaligned my spine from a mishap. But also I finally was listening to my body. My spine and back muscles were getting locked up and developing a humpback after years of working long hours at a computer along with being a sport bike rider. I am so grateful for the care I'm getting from Dr. Yoshida and the staff at Health Advantage Physical Medicine. They have a medical nurse on site and Dr. Yoshida can do a full diagnosis with blood work, give you nutrition information they have physical therapy there and more. Dr. Yoshida has been giving me back and neck adjustments along with working on my TMJ. I walked into her office as a total tight muscled, restricted body movement, mess of a person in pain.
After the first treatment I was able to sleep through the night. Everything is improving! She went over my x-rays with me, then explained and showed me the issue with my vertebrae. Dr. Yoshida was able to get my vertebrae moving again and in the correct posture positions. I can't express how grateful I am for her incredible care. In the past l've been fearful for neck adjustments and her technique is great. I completely trust her. “I began acupuncture treatment with Zen in early 2025 after suffering from lower back pain for a year and am very impressed with the results I experienced. My pain was due to idiopathic scoliosis in my lumbar region that developed late in life. Although there is no cure for this condition, through acupuncture with Zen and targeted exercise, I am pain-free most of the time. I was impressed by the extensive health history interview that Zen does prior to the start of treatment and by the personalized treatment plan she developed for me. Initially, I saw her twice each week, then once each week, then once each month, and then every other month. “I am dealing with chronic pain from frozen shoulder and I had seen an Ortho surgeon for confirmation on this condition. There is nothing you can do once the freezing starts … you either go through it until it heals on its own or get a surgery. I chose the first one and I have been so tortured by the pain, especially at night, when resting position. It’s been months that I could not sleep at all. I slept but awakened many times because of the throbbing ache. Even pulling my blanket was a excruciating. I don’t want to take pain medication too often, only when I really have to sleep well at night for an important event tomorrow or some occasions like that. I went through physical therapy, which helps with mobility but NOT the pain. I tried 2 acupuncturists, didn’t work. Chiropractic, didn’t work. I researched “frozen shoulder, acupuncture”, and Dr. Song came the first one up. I am glad I went! Yesterday was the 2nd time I went, and on top of electro-acupuncture, he did cupping. Last night, i slept very well, without heating pad and without pain. I remember pulling my blanket without pain. When I woke up in the morning, I was like,”Wait… my shoulder feel so loose and so good… wait, what?!?” I woke up without pain!
Of course this is not “healing” the frozen shoulder, but it is a way to manage pain holistically, until the thawing phase is done.
Dr. Song is such a highly educated doctor (he was already an MD in China), and he is also a professor at Acupuncture college. I am taking my husband and my mom next to see Dr. Song!“
