ATA Black Belt & Academy is a highly recommended program that focuses on teaching kids important life skills, such as respect, integrity, and confidence, while also having fun. The instructors, including Master Segal and Mr. Lansing, are fantastic with kids, creating a positive and supportive learning environment. The program allows kids to develop leadership skills through special classes and opportunities to help with younger classes. ATA is amazing! There is a big emphasis on life skills and showing respect. Master Segal and Mr. Lansing are fantastic. Older students have the chance to go through a special class and then help out with the Tiger classes. What a great way to teach respect and leadership! My son is in the Little Tigers class right now and I so hope that he wants to stick with it as he gets older!
Great instructors! Mr Segal personally teaches most of the classes. All instructors are amazing with kids. Our oldest has been going since he was 5 and our other two younger children are doing great there also! Also, their camps are fun and wear out our kids too!*****2020 update. My 5 yo is now 13 and a 2nd degree black belt! We are still so happy with Segal's ATA. Even with all of the added safety precautions they have weathered the pandemic and are going strong. I can't overstate how much of a positive influence they have had on our kids!
My wife and I were immersed in Segals ATA through our Granddaughters, both of whom became black belts. When Senior Master Segal announced a new program called "Senior Strong", devoted to adults over 60, we became members. The program stresses flexibility, balance, and mental acuity through martial arts. I can't stress enough how much this program has improved our mental and physical health. Senior Master has a talent for making the experience enjoyable and fun. He encourages the students to participate at their own pace. His very capable associate, 5th degree black belt Mr. Lansing, also adds his expertise to the program when needed. Don't let your age hold you back, it's never too late to start. Dave & Jody Sawyer
