“My best friend and I visited Oak Hill Memorial Park on January 17, 2024. Both our families have family members buried there as we grew up in Escondido. We have always loved Oak Hill Cemetery, but in the last few years the gophers had overrun the place and they were unsettling the headstones. When we returned on 1/17/24 the gophers were gone! Everything around the headstones looked well maintained and tended to. We were so surprised and delighted! We even went to the Manager's Office to let them know how pleased we were. They said that they now have a gopher company that comes every two weeks and it shows. The cemetery looks like it did many year ago which was so lovely. It looks like it did when our families first picked out the plots we now have. The current staff is doing an outstanding job! We can't thank them enough for all their hard work!“
