All of the staff at California Funeral Alternatives, from the lovely and caring woman who picked up my mother after she passed to the caring and efficient staff members who helped on the phone and in person were excellent. They also were there for us when my father died and my grandparents as well. I really appreciated how easy they were to deal with at such a difficult time. On another note, however, because I had not been able to be with my loved one at his passing or see him for a few moments after his passing - as medical examiner whisked his body away under a sealed body bag and a tarp, I asked California Funeral Alternatives if I - by myself - could please see him one last time for a few minutes before he was to be cremated. Policy was a charge of $395 - even for a few minutes. I could not afford $395 for a few minutes. Sad.
