Reem met with me within a day of my inquiry and was happy to take on my project even though it was a smaller remodel, a kitchen and primary bath. Every member of his team was stellar, from demolition to installation to fabrication. They consistently did exactly what they said they would do. “We are SO pleased with our new sunroom! Robert Shipstead of GDM construction was a pleasure to work with. He let us know every step of the way what was happening, did what he said he would do every time. We never had to chase him. All of his crew were professionals in their specialties, did great work, cleaned up after themselves and were so friendly and helpful. Robert always goes the extra mile, even replaced a screen door that my husband accidentally broke, at his own expense. The quality of the room is excellent and adds some much needed extra space to our home. The room is so bright, cheery and comfortable and flows seamlessly from our kitchen. Robert took care of all of the details from laying the flooring to hanging the blinds, curtain rods and the ceiling fan. The only thing we did was paint the walls that he had already textured between the house and the sunroom. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. And the cost was quite reasonable. “We chose Home Quality Remodeling for a full remodel of a kitchen and three bathrooms. Amir Levy was the project manager assigned. He has two exceptional qualities. First, he is fair and complete in his quotes. I had quotes from eight contractors. Amir was the only one who included everything in the quote. There was nothing missing that was discovered later. We had a partially rotted wall that was discovered after the kitchen wall was opened, and his additional charge was very reasonable. Second, he cares deeply about quality. When one of his workers made a mistake, or if we had a misunderstanding, he fixed it. No extra charge.

He is experienced, and gave great advice on what options we had for designs and materials, without pushing for any particular one. He helped find better alternatives to my design ideas several times. The kitchen designer worked with us to quickly turn our ideas into a design that we love, a year later. Amir’s workers were generally highly skilled. In a couple of cases, they were not up to Amir’s quality standards, and were quickly replaced. His good relationships with the city and inspectors really helped get the paperwork done.

Mendy drew up our permit drawings and got the permit approved with the city of San Jose. He was quick and responsive, and worked to the timeframes he promised. When we had to make alterations to the permit drawings (we discovered necessary changes as demolition and rough work proceeded), he did them very quickly and walked in again to get approval on the spot, keeping our project on time. The most recent project was a full remodel of our laundry room, kids’ bathroom, and master bathroom. This came after they had already done a full renovation of the rest of our house during phase one (excluding those areas).
