North Valley Aikikai Yoga

“I have been attending yoga classes at North Valley Aikikai for two years, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. From my first visit, I felt truly welcomed and supported. I also felt this was a place we're I would get all the benefits that yoga can provide to my health. I have taken yoga classes regularly from Maureen Benoit and from Rachel Escalera. Both are totally committed to their teaching and pay attention to details helping us get as much benefit from the practice as possible, withouth risking injurying ourselves. The yoga teachers are genuinely interested on helping us get the most benefit from our time there. They are very knowlegable, supportive, and they are passionate constantly conveying information relevant to our yoga practice . All of this makes North Valley Aikikai an ideal place to get all the benefits that a yoga practice offers to improve our bodies as well as contributing to our spiritual growth.“

Hot For Yoga Yoga

“Three years of Bikram practice — at this studio and others — and I can tell you, the structure is the point.

The 26-posture sequence is precise by design. The instructor’s guidance isn’t restrictive, it’s what makes the practice safe and effective. This isn’t a flow class where you freestyle — and knowing that going in changes your whole experience.

This studio has genuinely moved the needle for me. Flexibility, stress, overall health — all better. The instructors here care about doing it right, and that’s exactly why I keep coming back.

If you’re new to Bikram, give it another shot with fresh eyes. Once it clicks, it’s hard to walk away.“

Studio City Martial Arts Yoga

“I’m two years into my belt program, and I couldn’t have chosen a better dojo family for this martial arts journey. I’m continually awed at how Sensei Bryan and Sensei Ron can teach and motivate so many different student levels — from little ninjas to teens to adults (including this “woman of a certain age”). The universal enthusiasm and commitment from all of them is a testament to the community they’ve built.

My twice-weekly training sessions are a true highlight — and I’m continually overcommitted with all sorts of enriching activities. It’s a marathon and I may be a septuagenarian before I get to black belt, but I’m learning, expanding my horizons and getting in lots of kicks, strikes and blocks!

Highly recommend for kids, teens and young adults — so impressed with how mature, committed and well-rounded these students are— and adults of all ages and abilities. It’s never too late and it feels amazing!“

“Can’t thank Matt enough for my road to recovery from my awful chronic back pain that I suffered from for well over a year after giving birth to my second child. With acupuncture treatments, I’ve seen a tremendous improvement in my pain and am able to function so much better on the daily. Matt is extremely knowledgeable and I’m so happy to have the opportunity to be treated here. After trying a whole range of failed traditional treatments of chiropractic care, steroid injections, pain medications, you name it, I finally found something that actually works! I regret not starting acupuncture sooner.“

Bikram's Yoga College of India Yoga

“I’ve been going to this Bikram studio in Encino since 2017 and this practice has changed my life. It’s one of the only authentically Bikram studios around, and you can really feel the difference.

All of the instructors are great in their own way, super knowledgeable, encouraging, and they each bring something a little different to class. You’ll definitely grow your practice if you stick with it.

The studio is clean, easy to get to, and yes, the room gets HOT (as it should). They offer mats and towels for rent, but I’d recommend bringing your own.

Parking is behind the building, and you’ll head up a flight of stairs to get to the studio, it’s easily accessible from the parking area. If you see the large white sign that says “Bikram Yoga,” you’ve found it.

If you’re new, give yourself at least 20–30 minutes before class to get settled and let your body adjust. And hydrate… a lot, before, during and after class. And breathe. Always breathe ?“

“Y6 is a gift to my future 75-year-old self. I adore the community, instructors, and staff! We are different ages, sizes, & skill levels.

I recently achieved 250 hours of Y6 yoga classes. This practice builds skeletal muscle & breathwork. It releases tension and strengthens my bones. The variety and quantity of daily classes fit my needs.

The Y6 community helped me find movement and motivation outside my current sedentary life as a working stiff, soccer mom, doom scroller, family planner, etc.
Thank you ❤️“

“Classes are consistent...each one goes from warm-up, to flow, to a building up to peak pose (changes every week), to cool-down. Always ends with a cold eucalyptus washcloth, placed on your forehead during shavasana. Instructors are all friendly and very informative. 50-minute classes might seem short, but they are actually the perfect length for the amount that is packed in.“
