The facility is clean, with well-organized weights and a quiet atmosphere. While the gym has a variety of machines, some users have noted that the placement can be puzzling, with older machines mixed with newer ones. Some leg machines are in one row, while others are in different rows. A few older machines have rips in the cushions, and the air conditioning has been reported as not working very well, making the gym feel a bit stuffy at times. Despite these issues, members are generally nice and courteous, often wiping down equipment after use. The location is a plus, and the juice bar and amenities make it a great place to work out. The gym has gotten busier, likely due to the closure of a nearby location, making it a popular spot for fitness enthusiasts.
I wish they would place seats in this gym for people who just want to sit on weight machines and look at their phones. There needs to be a policy change around this. Other than that, the gym is okay. The cleaning ladies do a great job. The front door staff always greets us. Pilates ($$)and spin classes are offered in addition to other fitness classes. Basketball court always seems full.
I just came back from my usual Saturday morning swim from this branch and I was disappointed at two incidents. As I changed to walk to the pool from the lady’s changing room, my eyes caught a large cockroach roaming around. While swimming, the pool was unusually crowded and the cherry on the cake was a guy with divers flip-flaps blowing his nose and emptying his chest flame at the end of each lap. The shower that I was using was equally dirty with previous users hair on the ground. Most of us gave guy looks to suggest that what he was doing was inappropriate in a public place but he ignored everyone and continued his behavior. The staff at Northridge are really nice and accommodating. They helped me find a membership for my needs. Ask for Michael or Nick! They’re amazing. The manager Gatsby was really nice and inviting too!
