Such an incredible class!! We learned a wide range of practical self-defense techniques that were easy to understand, easy to practice, and actually feel doable in real-life situations. We were also given valuable tips for staying aware and safe in daily life. Paul was a fantastic instructor and took his time making sure my group understood each technique before moving on to the next one. If you get a chance, I highly recommend taking this class!
My daughter attends taekwondo classes, fitness classes, and self-defense classes here at this amazing martial arts studio. What I seen in her is amazing. She has confidence, has become stronger in every way, and is in super amazing physical shape! Thank you to Paul Caffall owner and expert instructor, and the self-defense solutions community for being such a bright light in her life. Any parents thinking about enrolling their children in classes I highly recommend, and my daughter is an adult adult, so adults as well! Great job! The best martial arts studio in the Bay!
My goal in early 2026 was to take a women’s self-defense class. Paul is owner of Self Defense Solutions in San Jose. Paul is truly an incredible and highly informative Instructor. This two hour class was exactly what I needed to get myself educated and aware of the RIGHT TECHNIQUES to keep myself safe . We learned many straightforward self defense techniques that I can immediately use if I got put in a difficult situation. I keep thinking about all the other women that I want to also take this class, including the all my daughter‘s friends who are all college age.
