“We thank Rose Hills for recommending Beyond the Sea to help honor my dad’s wishes of having his ashes scattered in the ocean. Captain Tony and his team (Marcus?) were helpful in guiding us to create a wonderful program for our guests and my dad. On the day, their instructions were clear. The boat was comfortable for our 32 guests. What made it special was having each of our guests hold white birds and let them go after wishing my dad a Happy Father’s Day. Gotta thank Alex - the bird handler - for that. I highly recommend this company for a special tribute to your loved one.“

Destiny Funeral Home & Crematory Funeral Services And Cemeteries

“Our family is deeply grateful to Destiny Funeral Home, and especially to Steve, the General Manager. From the very beginning to the conclusion of our father's services, Steve went above and beyond to accommodate our family and thoughtfully guided us through every part of the service planning process.

We were honoring our father’s traditional Buddhist services, and to our surprise, Steve demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with specific Buddhist traditions than we did. He understood the cultural needs, the particulars of rituals we honored, and ensured everything was done respectfully.

The entire staff was also outstanding. During the funeral service, Cindy, Kevin, and Alex were incredible, professional, attentive, and compassionate. They ensured everything was executed seamlessly and to our complete satisfaction.

Above all else, Steve's empathy and patience truly stood out. He answered every question we had without hesitation or annoyance and made us feel supported during one of the most difficult times in our lives. The level of care, compassion, and service he provided to our family was truly exceptional. We cannot recommend Destiny Funeral Home enough.“

“Roger assisted me and my family with my mother’s memorial stone. He was very nice and very responsive and understanding to what we would like. It turned out beautiful and felt that it would do my mother justice to have such a beautiful stone. For anyone going through the process of laying a loved one to rest, Roger makes this portion easy and one less thing to worry about. Very grateful“

Sunnyside Cemetery Funeral Services And Cemeteries

“??

If you're in the mood for some spine-tingling, hair-raising fun in broad daylight, Sunnyside Cemetery in Long Beach is the place to be! Nestled between the palm trees and sunshine, this cemetery has just enough eerie vibes to give you chills while you soak up that coastal warmth.

Beware the giggling ghost of Mr. Tiddles, the old cemetery cat, who loves to sneak up on unsuspecting visitors and brush against their legs (or is it just the wind? ?). And don’t even get me started on the mysterious whistling—sure, it could be the ocean breeze, but legend has it, it's Old Man Jenkins, trying to finish a tune he started in 1912! ?

Tombstones here tilt at weird angles as if they've had one too many ghostly cocktails, and if you're lucky (or unlucky), you might just hear the infamous 'tap-tap-tap' of the long-lost gardener's shovel. ? Is he still working? No one knows.

Sunnyside Cemetery: where the spirits are friendly, the sunshine is strong, and the only thing haunting you is whether you’ll get sand in your shoes. 5 out of 5 spooky tombstones! ✨"“
