“Our 18 year old Monier Lifetile Cedarlite roof had many broken tiles due to its inherent fragility and foot traffic from painters and solar equipment installers. Most roofers that we contacted refused to work on it because of its fragility. We eventually found 3 roofers who made bids (one without even going up on the roof!). We chose California Custom Contractors (CCC) because the owner, Greg Meo did a thorough inspection which he documented with photographs. His proposal, again carefully documented with photographs of the proposed repairs, was not the cheapest of the 3 but its thoroughness and Greg's obvious experience with Cedarlite tile roofs (again, more photos of past jobs) made the choice clear. We learned that CCC does not install new roofs but only does repairs.CCC cleaned moss and other debris from the roof, replaced and painted all pipe flashings, replaced all broken tiles and installed metal flashing to replace the original cracked lead flashing. All of the work done was documented with photographs. Our roof now looks fantastic and we are confident that there will be no leaks. Greg and his team of 3 very experienced workers were a pleasure to work with and get my highest recommendation. If your roof needs careful conscientious repair, call California Custom Contractors; despite their generic name, they only repair roofs.“

“Top notch all the way around. Kevin did a great job on initial assessment and explanation. Dean was beyond excellent in talking us through every detail and answering all my newbie questions. Guessing not many people probably buy more than one roof in their lives, so it’s a learning process and Dean was great all the way through. He facilitated getting us samples of a dozen different shingles to choose from for color. Threw in some extras on installation that were not on the quote to make us happy with the details. Price quoted was the best we got, including no markup on permit fees. And without doubt best service you could hope for. His quote was also the only one with thoroughly detailed info on methods and materials. Most others were just a single line lump sum “trust us” kind of quote. But for $20k you might want some details! Dean delivered. Also certified for the best warranty in the business. Lots of other business charge extra for that, Acker included it in the cost. And lots of other installers advertise or say that they’re certified with various shingle companies, but surprise, they’re not! Buyer beware. I called and emailed the manufacturer to verify after getting quotes, and most weren’t authorized to offer the extended warranties. But if you didn’t check and then 20 years later you need to make a claim, surprise! Peace of mind, Dean and Acker are fully legit. Plus, Dean is a straight shooter no BS kind of guy, not a pushy salesman. Acker truly earn all those 5 star reviews, now including mine. Thanks guys!“

“I've had Western Sierra do a couple of jobs for me over the last few years. They repaired a damaged and leaking roof when a tree branch fell on it -- leak is now fixed. They just completed realigning my roof gutters and installing new leaf screens. It rained this morning, and the runoff drained perfectly. Their prices are reasonable, their workers are considerate and efficient, and it's been an excellent experience overall. (They did take an extra day to complete the job, but this wasn't a problem for me.) I'd certainly use them again for roof or rain gutter work.“
