It had 3 layers of shingles atop old-fashioned wood shakes. Shea Roofing was not the lowest bid, and it wasn't the highest bid; they were right in the middle. We liked their businesslike approach, and after checking their license information on the state website, we hired them. They were outstanding i every way. In the heat of summer, they first sent a demolition team to remove the three layers of old shingles, along with the wood shakes. They did this in one day. There were 12 guys, at least, doing the work. The next day they sent another team of 12, to lay down the plywood and new shingles. We have a detached garage that was included in the project. The shingles were laid in one or just over one day. We highly recommend this company for residential roofing needs.“
