I am soooo impressed with how good this company performed my project! They saved me so much money on my PGE bill by installing spray foam, and they ACTUALLY explained how spray foam works. There is ALOT of building science that goes into this! From my research, they are the only company in Humbolt that has factory trained foam installers, and definitely the only ones that seemed to know what they were talking about. It was smooth from the first time I called to when the guys finished the job, and they didn't require a down payment. The other guy wanted half down, and that's not even legal in CA. Go figure. Anyway, if this didnt work as well as they had said, I wouldn't even bother leaving a review. Stellar performance, great pricing, and what I'm saving monthly now would have been worth paying double. Take it from me, use these guys. Look how clean the shop is!!!

Requested style: Great Barbers are great listeners. They know how your hair should be before you sit down.
Walked in, they seated me right away saying they had an appointment in 20 minutes but could take care of me.
I got a nice and quick clipper cut with a fade, very happy with the results and the service.
Parking is a little tricky in the area I think because it is next to the City Hall, but I found a slot a block away.
I will be considering this shop for my next cut!

Jean is the best! I was diagnosed With Melanoma cancer right before the pandemic and afterwards I struggled to find a new lease on life. What better way to live than explore my identity which I did with hair color, haircuts, and perms, yes, they still exist. Jean was there for me, doing whatever I asked and I am cancer free! It made me realize how precious life is and how much fun it could be. I'd forgotten. Hair grows as we do so go out and have some fun with your hair, it's the least we can do. I've been to Christina twice now for a few different services. The first time was for brow wax and tint, and the second was for a repeat brow wax/tint and arm pit waxing. I was on the fence on whether I wanted to get the tint on my brows or just wax them, and she took the time to answer all the questions I had about the service and didn't pressure me either way– it was clear she wanted me to be HAPPY with my results, not just to spend more money with her. I ultimately went with the tint and am so happy I did–wow, what a subtle detail that really makes a difference!
As for the arm pit waxing, she made me feel totally comfortable and is definitely very skilled at what she does, my experience was much less painful than I was anticipating. The space is very clean and has a great vibe. GO SEE HER!

My hair is very fine and doesn’t hold curl well, but Linden had me drop off my extensions early and performed some sort of magic that made the curls last all day. A-1 Cleaning Service just finished cleaning three bedrooms at my home. They were communicative, on time, friendly, professional, and they did an excellent job. We recently had North Coast Floor & Tile tear out existing flooring in laundry, kitchen, living and dining rooms in a rental & replace with vinyl plank. They also tore out an existing shower & reinstalled new schluter system at pan & replaced some tile and some damaged flooring. We are very happy with the completed work. From the first estimate by Stefan to the informative help from Sales Consultants Brittany & Kerry in the showroom to installation of vinyl plank by Jim, shower & tile replacement by Isaac, they were professional, helpful & on time and did what they said they would do at a reasonable cost.

We hired Eric and crew to build a fence around our garden (over 100'). We had an idea of how we wanted it to look but sometimes it’s hard to convey your vision to those doing the work. Eric came by to look at the project and asked all the right questions. He also made a few great suggestions that we hadn’t considered. The fence is one of the first things you see as you come down our driveway so we wanted it to be nice. In the end the fence came out beautifully, better than we had hoped! And we haven’t had a deer in the garden since.We also hired Eric to rebuild a section of fence (not the garden fence thankfully) destroyed by a giant branch that fell out of a very large redwood tree. Eric rebuilt it to match the garden fence and it looks fantastic!We definitely plan on hiring him again to help design and build a new deck on our house. He also had some great ideas about that which we hadn’t thought of.100% would hire again!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank Dr. Palmer! I was in a tough spot because no one else in town would help me with the extraction of a tricky tooth under a crown. They told me I’d have to see an oral surgeon who was booked out for three months! Luckily, Dr. Palmer stepped up and agreed to take care of it for me.
I can’t express how much I appreciated his expertise and compassion, especially since I was in so much pain. He really adapted to the situation and made me feel confident about returning for a dental implant down the road. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly my bone graft healed, and the cost was exactly what I was quoted initially—no surprise charges for the extra care I needed!

I had a massage with Jasmine at Happy Healthy Chiropractic and it was very therapeutic. Jasmine is a skilled massage therapist who listened to my concerns and went about the massage addressing them. She is very skilled in acupressure and provided a wonderful whole body massage. I think she is a great addition to Dr. Anna's practice at Happy Healthy Chiropractic.
The place is fabulous. We saw a very young man veterinarian who was just so sweet and caring and knowledgeable and gave us good information and seems really care about our dog.
My cat has always gone here and everyone that works here is very caring and attentive with her. The vet techs love my cat and always give her lots of pets. They are very good with knowing when my cat has had enough of something so as to not stress her out too much. If you ever need extra time to pay for vet expenses, they have pamphlets there for CareCredit. The pamphlets have a QR code to quickly sign up for the credit card. After you are approved, they can look up your card and put your charges on your card. I did this when I had to pay $2700 when my cat got sick.
Whole staff is amazing and very kind. Service with a smile is a rare occurrence in these parts of California. The staff here was always super kind and helpful.
They've been helping me care for my furbabies for over ten years. Non-urgent appointments can be scheduled as far as six weeks out, but my cats are very good with the doctors there, so I won't take them anywhere else.

I’ve been dealing with constant spasms in my leg, along with twitching that wouldn’t quit and couldn’t be explained by my doctor. In desperation I decided to seek out a massage in attempts to relieve the issue. I got a 90min massage by Marissa Celeste and she took her time understanding what my issues were and working them out. She had to adjust the pressure and how she massaged several times because spasms kept initially happening. But she kept trying and was very careful with me. Ever since the massage (over 24 hours) I’ve had relief from all spasms, and it’s been months since that’s happened. Also I’m pain free in some of the other areas she worked. If you’re suffering with pain you should definitely schedule an appointment here and asap.

I have been experiencing severe back pain, which escalated last week when I felt a sudden popping sensation in my lower back, accompanied by intense pain radiating to my hip. Following an emergency room visit, where medication was the prescribed solution, I sought alternative relief through massage therapy. My son Kordell recommended Guan Therapeutic, located near Starbucks on Harrison Street. I contacted them and was promptly accommodated. The therapist demonstrated exceptional care, balancing gentleness with firmness as needed. After a 30-minute session, she assisted me in getting dressed, including my sweatpants, socks, and shoes, a gesture I greatly appreciated. Notably, it had taken me 15 minutes to dress prior to the appointment. I am grateful for Guan Therapeutic's exceptional service, which exceeded my expectations.

4’ 10” and 75 lbs of elbows, knees and incomprehensibly strong hands named “Jun” just gave me the best massage I’ve ever had, and I’ve had over a hundred. The other places can all shut down now; this was absolutely superb. My only complaint is that I got one hour instead of two: I’ll be back in a few days getting at least two hours but more likely three.
Background: I’ve broken my right patella twice, have an injury at T-4 from a 20’ fall out of a tree and a wrecked left shoulder: a doctor called in his sleep-deprived residents from their homes so they could see it, feel it, ooh and ahh at it and they were grateful. My work is now driving a big rig and tailgating a full trailer of cabinets every few days. I unload 16 tons, but I do it by hand and I do it every year.
Lots of other stuff, but these are the big ones and earlier that week I’d twisted my back by the extreme and noble exertion of putting on my left sock, so I had difficulty even walking in: I was debating between a massage, chiropractor or coroner with leanings toward the latter. Many an experienced undertaker would have been deceived and begun embalming me on the spot. I have been coming to Redwood acres for over 50 years, ever since our family moved to town in 1974. They keep up the grounds very very well. As for events, You name the event, I've probably been to it. Auto racing, the circus, I saw the lippizaner stallions here the Sunday flea market. The annual Redwood Acres Fair, (it's a small fair that runs for about a week, but it's always fun.). And one of the funniest shows I ever saw here, was called "extreme midget wrestling." I recently attended one of their summertime monthly events, called "acres of eats." a good sized selection of food trucks/trailers, entertainment, activities for the kids, etc. It was a wide selection of food. I had. A stew and an empanada from a Colombian food trailer. It was absolutely delicious, and the price was very reasonable. If you have a chance to go to this event, or anything else else at Redwood acres, it's worth it. I hope Redwood acres lasts for a long time coming. It's a wonderful asset to Eureka.
