Dr. Greenspan has had guinea pigs herself and has first hand experience on how to provide next level medical service so that my baby always gets what she needs and I leave feeling heard!! I am the helicopter mom of helicopter moms and I have vetted a lot of places in the Bay Area ( Especially for Exotics) and I don’t care if I have to drive over an hour and a half to get to this clinic I will because the care is exceptional“

“I was out of town with my dog when he suddenly had a change in condition, and I decided to bring him here, so glad I did. I was initially hesitant about going to a new vet and worried about being charged for unnecessary treatments, but this ended up being a great experience from start to finish.
I called last minute and was able to get a same day appointment within 30 minutes. The online intake form was quick and easy to complete. I was greeted promptly when entering and waited in the lobby for maybe two minutes before being seen by both the vet tech and the veterinarian.
The staff were professional, kind, and efficient. Noey, the vet tech, kept the visit friendly and handled my dog with genuine care. The doctor was down-to-earth, straightforward, and transparent with no pressure for unnecessary labs or workups. My dog was treated promptly and sent home with medication the same day.
The appointment was simple, quick, and honest. I will definitely be coming back.“

“My dog is a patient of Dr Hedden and when my dog was not herself, we called central animal hospital and were able to get her in for an appointment the next day (they actually had a cancellation and could have seen her that day, but we were not available at the time to bring her in) Although I had suspicions she (my dog) had something caught in her throat, over the phone the symptoms I described made the doctor think it could possibly be kennel cough, but after bringing her in and upon further assessment, Dr Hedden was concerned it was something more and wanted to have lab work, and XRay for further evaluation and diagnosis. Because she had not eaten or drank over the past day+, she was showing signs of dehydration and needed IV fluids as well. She was “hospitalized” for the morning and afternoon with the previously mentioned tests and IV fluids and results came back with pancreatitis. She’s now home with us, still not fully recovered (this all took place on Monday/Tuesday, and it is now Thursday), but at least she is excited for walks again, eating/drinking, and pooping! Her energy levels are still low, but she is still going through her course of GI meds and anti-nausea meds. I’m so grateful for the staff and doctors who took care of my dog with prompt treatment and with the wonderful care they provided!“

He teaches *us* how to train our dog rather than focusing on directly training our dog himself, which is 100x more effective because we're with our pup every day, and Dan isn't (though we wish he could be!). “Our two dogs get very excited when we pull up to Dr. Dave's. We primarily use the place for multiple overnight stays for our two dogs. When we pick them up, they are healthy, no injuries, and correct weight. The folks there are good about giving scheduled medication. The prices are reasonable, especially when vouchers for overnight stays are purchased a couple dozen at a time.“

“The location is excellent. The staff was very personable and attentive, particularly Megan. She was very caring, sympathetic, and took great care of my cat. I called in for a same-day appointment, which went well. They were punctual and knew my name when I arrived. The service at this clinic is noticeably different from PetSmart. I would recommend visiting here before visiting the other location. The doctor was very understanding and knowledgeable. He confirmed my bias and, after telling him how I was treating my pet, he ensured I took the correct precautions and also gave me extra info and med options. “Recently transferred to this clinic, they were able to schedule an appointment for my dog the next day. Staff was nice. Our appointment went very well, and on schedule.“

“Amazing and totally involved! We found Lori through Yelp, and were convinced by watching videos on her website. We had adopted a shelter puppy who we were told would be 60 pounds, but seemed to be growing at a much faster rate than we expected. He is a sweetheart, but can be very domineering when he sees something he wants. And he was rapidly becoming too strong to easily control. Lori instantly took over on our first visit, and we saw our pup truly respond for the first time to somebody controlling him, rather than the way he wanted it. Lori instantly recognized something was off, and led us to correctly diagnose his breed (Anatolian shepherd) within minutes of meeting him. We were shocked to find out he might grow to 150 pounds, but instantly glad that we were getting him the training he (and we) needed. They boarded and trained him for a month. The dog is now a totally different dog. They almost completely changed his behavior and responsiveness. At the same time, they have spent a number of training sessions with us, to enable us to be responsible dog owners. Lori and her assistant Chelsy have been completely involved, making sure we know what we are doing, how to recognize behavioral issues and address them, and how to keep the big guy happy. They have answered questions about equipment, food, travel, and safety. Every time we go to train, Lori and her team has a number of dogs they are working with. All of these dogs behave almost perfectly, even with all of the other dogs surrounding them. We cannot recognize or recommend Lori enough. She is a true pro, and we have a magnificent and happy dog thanks to her and Chelsy. Her service should be considered by everybody who wants to share a happy life with a well-behaved dog.“

“I was a client in 2024. Today I submitted an appointment request via the website during business hours and the website stated to expect a call in 30 minutes. After 45 minutes, I texted the line that I communicated with in 2024 to follow up. With no response from that, I tried calling twice, but both times the call dropped right away after one ring. I saw something about Google Fi on the screen so it seems like they are using a call screening service that blocks my calls each time. This is an unacceptable situation when no form of communication is possible to request urgent care for an existing client.

Edit: I read the response and appreciated the explanation. I received a call from the clinic at 4:36pm asking what time my appointment for today was scheduled for because their system was having so many issues that the appointment did not save. Even though I was apprehensive, the clinic remained professional and pleasant and explained that there have been technical issues. Thank you for trying your best in spite of challenges.“
