Came to Carmel for my anniversary with my boyfriend and we were so excited to go to Refuge. We both got a day pass. I believe we were some of the first people there a bit after 9 am. It started off great! For a while we got a few pools to ourselves all in the warm setting. We got into the steam room and I loved the eucalyptus one!! For my partner it was a bit too strong, so I suggest for people with sensitive smells to just try the other room. We then wanted to sit around the fire place, but there were seats taken with towels or only one chair available between people and my partner and I wanted to sit next to each other. We ended up going to a fireplace in a corner where a couple started reserving the seats since the morning. They also got there kind of early after us and we noticed when they put their towels down on the chairs. My boyfriend asked if they could move their towels so we could sit down. At first the woman had said yes but her partner said they were going to sit down after a few minutes. Mind you this is now around 11 am and I had seen them in the sauna rooms and walking around (it was a Monday so it wasn't that busy.) So then my boyfriend said I'm sorry but you aren't able to reserve seats and the girl seemed shocked and said but everyone else is doing it. Her partner ended up moving a chair towards the fire pit and we sat down. It was an uncomfortable situation for us and them. I wish there could've been a worker walking around making sure people weren't reserving seats, so my partner and I could've avoided this awkward tension with others. After that we went to the relaxation room. My partner and I thought to ourselves at first who would enter this room when there's other things to enjoy, but oh boy were we wrong. My boyfriend took a nap and I closed my eyes for a while and just enjoyed the silence bliss. My boyfriend ended up snoring and I had to wake him up. He was a bit embarrassed, but he really ended up enjoying that room. We ended up going to a pool with another couple and a single person. Another couple ended up coming into the pool and were talking out loud. I was bothered and so was the girl in the other couple. She ended up whispering in her partner's ear and they got out immediately. I went into the hammock next to the pool as I no longer wanted to be next to couple either, but my boyfriend stayed inside. He was also bothered but not enough to get out. The shower had a lot of space inside. I wish there was a place to get ready I had brought my make up to do, but I ended up not doing it since I didn't want to be in the way of other people blow drying their hair it was the only spot with lighting and a mirror. It is a bit of tight space. My only regret was not bringing a book. So many women were reading near the fire place and it seemed such a relaxing thing to do. The weather was gloomy and I loved it that way. It did start sprinkling while we were there which was no problem. The ambience was great. Hopefully there can be more surveillance on the rules about the talking and reserving chairs, but other than that it was a great. I would definitely recommend this place.
New Bath has taken care of at least 5 or 6 jobs throughout

Hilary is a true artist! Plus she's fun! She did an amazing job on my eyebrows. It's natural looking and gave overall balance to my face. I love that my eyebrows always look perfect, and I never have to take time to fill in. I had my eyebrows done 3 years ago. She is meticulous with measuring, outlining and making sure your eyebrows are exactly how you want them each step of the way. Plus Hilary provides two FREE touchups to ensure they are perfect. After 3 yrs my eyebrows started to soften so I went back to Hilary. In less than 45 minutes I have perfect eyebrows again. And this time was only $200. Other places charge $250 or higher. Go see her...you will thank yourself!

Wonderful first visit yesterday, which was just under an hour receiving me as new patient. Thoroughly discussed all conditions and meds. I am so happy to have found a doctor whom I can trust and is accessible. Times are not easy for physicians these days. I saw the post about his practice being "non-participating" in Medicare, but in this case, his staff files all necessary paperwork with Medicare and your supplement (if you have one) for you. You'll get reimbursed just fine and without the hassle. There is a small annual fee as well, for access to this doctor, but it is totally worth it and much less than other "concierge-type" services.

Thank goodness for Brad's Plumbing & Rooter! We called them yesterday, Saturday morning 7am with a big leak from our upstairs bathtub, they arrived by 8am. Literally the best haircut I’ve ever had. I have wavy/curly hair that would get frizzy and unmanageable after every wash, and Michael understood exactly what to do even when I didn’t know what I wanted. My curls are more pronounced, my hair is growing out wonderfully, and I have to use less products, time, and effort to get amazing and FRIZZ FREE hair. The haircut reduced my frizz without having to add any products. I didn’t even know that was possible.

I had the best pedicure I've had in a long time. I opted for the deluxe with gel. They were upfront with the pricing so I wasn't surprised about anything extra. They have scent options to choose from and I got peppermint. Kevin was my pedicurist. He did the best massage, it was lengthy with good pressure. It was worth any extra. Their regular pedicure is priced at only $30 too, which is very reasonable.
We couldn't have found a sweeter place with the kindest of people to take care of our weary nails. If you have been camping or needing to pamper yourself, do not hesitate to visit this lovely location with a beautiful view.

The salon is tucked away in an alcove with other shops just off the main sidewalk. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. A friend recommended the salon.
My stylist, Beverly, was absolutely fantastic. She took the time to listen and gave me great suggestions. I asked for a new look. I went in with moderate expectations for a trim and a few highlights. I came away with a makeover.
Beverly is a true artist and expert. She worked magic with my hair to create a look that best compliments my face. She went above and beyond with advice on how to complete the look. I left the salon with a new level of confidence.

Then I discovered he was a hairdresser of over 50 Years!! I knew I needed him as mine... and my wish was grated.. I chipped my tooth today and wanted it to get fixed before my birthday tomorrow. I called the office and they got me in right away and did an amazing job fixing it. The staff is wonderful and the doctor was extremely kind. Great place. I will be definitely going back for all future dental work.
My favorite hygienist at Dr. Carl's office cleaned my teeth recently. Heather is very experienced in her field and will communicate about teeth and gum changes she sees during cleanings. Her cleanings are very noticeable, as are the smoothness and lightness of how my teeth feel when I leave the office. Dr. Carl's office staff is always professional and helpful with waitlists, scheduling, and accounting.
Absolutely the best!! Great atmosphere. The Dr. is knowledgeable, friendly, kind and has a gentle hand. All good reasons to come here, but the best reason is the entire staff. They make us feel like we are family and always have the best intentions and care. If you need to go to the dentist, this would s the place to go. I would recommend them to everyone.

I hate that people generally only leave reviews when they are angry or if the entity has pushed for it. So I’m trying to get better at leaving reviews for my favorite businesses like Dr. Wilson. I have an unusual medical problem that causes me to have to go to the dentist frequently, and I have many broken teeth, root canals, and other dental problems. I was afraid of Dentist before this started and Dr. Wilson was the first dentist I have not been afraid of. He’s also the first dentist to prove to me that I didn’t have to be injected with needles every single time I was at the dentist. Most appointments are less than 20 minutes long in and out very inexpensive Because he doesn’t do things just to raise the bill. If you ever decide to retire, I seriously don’t know what I’m gonna do for now. I’m very grateful that I have found him and I refer everyone I talk to to his office..
The staff is AMAZING and the service is EXCELLENT! Taking my fur baby here has changed his life, he is very active again. He is only 7 years old and he was having mobility problems already. Once he started acupuncture his mobility improved drastically, the veterinary doctor is very knowledgeable.
