635 San Mateo Ave, San Bruno“Really liked this place. The first real time I tried judo. It felt legit. The instructor was good (Sensei Chris?) and I appreciated that he paid attention to the newbies, giving more detailed explanations and tips. Everyone was beyond just nice. The students (black belts and lower belts) were abnormally friendly and supportive. It had a great atmosphere. I only went to the Tuesday adult class but it was a very diverse mix of students from older to younger (including two new 57 year old students) and from experienced to newbies. I also liked the venue. Nothing fancy, but It felt like a real old time school, which is my style.“

During their sessions, I usually hang out in the waiting area, observing how the students are not just mastering Taekwondo, but also developing a range of other valuable abilities and positive mindsets. It's clear that Master Park is an exceptional instructor. I have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone, regardless of age or skill level.“

141 11th St, San Francisco“I've been training here for years. I love the art but more than that I love Jimmy our Sensei. I've made wonderful friends through the years and feel like Norm from Cheers when I come in and everyone knows my name. The place is welcoming, overly clean and it's a great art you can do for the rest of your life.“

603 Taraval St, San Francisco“I've been coming here for Muay Thai since 2020. The facilities are clean, the instructors are excellent and really care about the students, and most of all, it's a wonderful community. I highly recommend checking out this gym, and they also have fundamental classes for beginners if you're new to it. Both the MT instructors, Rocky and Carlo, are very friendly, welcoming, highly knowledgeable about martial arts, and push you to become better. The classes are always both fun and informative. Great place to go whether you just want a great workout or go deeper in learning about martial arts.“
“last i read a review that ended 'the old man teaching' with 1 star.. if someone refers to someone as 'old man' they are not going to be good for any school. disrespect is not in the hurang creed nor in any creed of moral behaviors and standards worthy of attention.“

“Every time I visit FICA I feel very welcomed by the students and instructors. The quality of instruction is exceptional, and they build you up gradually. After every class at FICA I feel I have learned so much, and gone beyond what I thought myself capable of - physically, musically, and spiritually. The relaxed Angola music puts me at ease, I feel relaxed and playful when learning. I never feel stressed or pressure to perform. Angola is an invitation to explore the internal rhythms inside, to bring what's inside out, to create. After a class at FICA, I feel more in touch with myself in everything I do the rest of the day. I primarily train Contemporânea at Capoeira Irmandade in Santa Clara (closer to where I live), and I find that Angola makes me more well-rounded as a capoeirista. Sometimes Contemporânea can be very fast paced and I can get caught up in movement and achievement and Angola puts the soul back into it. I deeply love the Angola style, it is very beautiful. The music also. If you ever have a chance to visit FICA, I highly recommend it. Helpful Hints: Angoleiros are very particular about dress codes. Wear shoes and pants with a t-shirt tucked in (no tank tops). Also sometimes it gets cold, so I'd suggest bringing a sweater.“

647 El Camino Real, South San Francisco“Been coming here for Muay Thai a little over 2 years and it's become something I look forward to every week. I've seen my skills slowly improve over time. Sparring is kept light and technical unless it's the fighters getting ready for competition. They also have very fair business practices.“

He told us that this place will be a Taekwondo place. I was super excited to hear that this was opening in the area. Grand opening day was August 26, 2019. This place is spacious, high ceiling, very comfortable and clean. I do not feel like I’m cramped. My daughter and son was super excited and waited patiently for this place to open. The first day of class, my kids fell in love with Taekwondo and also felt comfortable with Master Rick teaching. My kids takes a very long time to open up with anyone, but with Master Rick, instant connection, very easy to talk to, very knowledgeable on Taekwondo, professional. Kids were having fun.My kids been training with Master Rick since the day he first opened up at this location, so it’s been 1 year and a half. Love this place and all the students in the Dojang. If you want to learn Taekwondo, this is the place to go to.“

I went for bjj and muy Thai since a co worker recommend the gym and it was free. I can't complain I had fun and the coach there are good people and legit. The only part I would be worried about is finding parking. If you want to drop by and try a class the 1st class is free.“
