“I've had several awful experiences recently in trying to get my various eye care services. It's been cause for real cynicism. But Invision Optometry really did restore my confidence in optometric care. I just picked up my new glasses today, and they were fitted with my first progressive lenses as well. I'd bought my own frame and brought it to Invision to fill the prescription I was given there, and get new lenses. I was quite gratified to receive a wonderfully mounted pair of lenses, in perfect alignment for axis, and while my first experience with progressive lenses, I had no trouble. My vision is crystal clear, and I'm learning how to use progressives by pointing my nose at what I want to focus on. (Ha ha! It is just like that. You lose some peripheral vision in exchange for the technology of a progressively powered lens, correcting from far to near without lines or sudden demarcations of correction.) Two opticians helped me and were very patient with all my questions: Carolyn (who fitted me for progressive lenses and discussed their use) and Esmerelda (who delivered the finished glasses to me). They were very courteous and informative. The office offers state of the art diagnostic equipment and technology. Finally, having finished with Invision using their optical lab to fabricate my lenses, I can heartily recommend the company. I'm exceptionally pleased.“

“I went today to get my first pair of glasses I've had in 3 years I picked this one out cuz my insurance I have is really good insurance but otherwise they did a fantastic job I ended up getting trifolds but I can't see squat anymore I'm so near blind without my glasses on but I highly recommend this place anybody wants it they have a very good selection of classes if you have insurance even better I don't know if they accept Medicaid“

“This place is quality! I went for an annual eye exam, and brought in a pair of glasses I got last year that I wasn't 100% happy with. I had gotten 2 pair, both progressive tri-focals. With one my vision was perfect, with the other I couldn't find that sweet spot to be able to easily read my phone, and using the computer wasn't nearly as easy as the other pair. I thought I was going to need new lenses. Enter Jasmine, who put the glasses on a machine, marked them up, had me put them on, compared them to my other pair, and proceeded to make a simple adjustment to the nose pieces so the glasses would sit higher on my face. Voila! Perfection! I really appreciate her expertise, and especially her honesty and integrity to simply fix the problem rather than seize the opportunity to try to sell me a new pair of lenses. You just can't beat that!“

I don't' get the sense that I'm ever being upsold on any products or services and there is never any sales pressure. Staff is also good about handling the insurance end of the process. Hart Optical used to have an optician to do exams, but now they just fill prescriptions. They accept insurance and take ours, you'd have to ask about what type. They have a pretty good selection of frames. The prices are reasonable and the service is great. They're located in a strip mall on La Mesa Boulevard. There's plenty of parking.“
“My experience with Optica Fashion Valley was and still is exceptional. I ordered the Cartier Piccadilly frame in the Platinum colorway. With custom lenses ( cut and shape, and transition to black ) . Christina helped me in Nov 2023 and I am so grateful to her for the patience and expertise she displayed. When I picked them up a couple weeks later or so, I was a bit nervous on how they would fit and how well the new prescription and lenses feel. All the recommendations she made were absolutely spot on perfect for me. I have been wearing glasses for over 30 years and mainly wear Kawasaki frames/ something lighter. But these are so nice! Hands down some of the best service I have encountered in any industry in a long time. I saved so much time going straight there trying on the frames and buying from them. They handled everything. I was shopping around for these frames and sure I could've saved a hundred bucks going online... But that was overruled by the exceptional service and help I received.
