“We needed to refinish our 61 year old red oak floors. Researched who could safely do it. We picked Peninsula Floors and couldn’t be any happier. Just was wonderful to work with and was very honest and upfront to what the finished product would look like. We agreed the natural color would look best. It took about 10 days and the results were amazing. It turned out way better than my highest expectation. Also need to point out we previously had new 5 inch baseboards installed and virtually no damage to them. They keep us abreast of what the progress was. “We hired K&B Remodeling & Sons to install two replacement French doors at our house. A contractor friend met them when they were engaged on another job down the street, both the contractor and our neighbor were pleased with the job they did. It is a complex job involving a variety of skills--carpentry, finish carpentry and stucco. Yonis and his team at K&B did a great job. We would definitely hire them again.
A couple of high points: they did the job promptly. Unlike some of the other projects around the neighborhood, they didn't start with a bang and then limp across the finish line weeks later. They worked every day from start to finish, arrived on time and all of the workers were always courteous. They worked cleanly--each day and each tradesman cleaned up when their work was finished. There were no piles of trash around the yard! They showed great respect for our home, yard and all of the materials (those doors weren't cheap!). Yonis is a good communicator who keep us appraised of who was coming and when, and if something changed, he let us know.
The job was done on time, on budget and Yonis and I could shake hands at the end and be friends--the sure sign of a good experience. Highly recommended.“

First, the counters are large (the island is about 13' x 5') and required seams in obvious places. Second, we wanted to match an earlier, somewhat unusual edge profile.

Manuel worked carefully and patiently with us to achieve the best layout, and the installation crew were master artisans (one has been with Sticks-N-Stones for 30 years). The bookmatch on the island is beautifully done; most visitors assume it's all one piece, because the long seam in the middle is so well crafted. Manuel also created a sample of the edge profile and brought it to the house to make sure it achieved the correct look.“
