“I was led to American Kenpo Concepts more than a quarter century ago when I saw the Kenpo movement of a student. As a result, I went in search of the student’s instructor. I visited several American Kenpo Karate schools in search of the Kenpo movement to no avail. My persistence to find the instructor eventually led to Mr. Tommy Chavies school - American Kenpo Concepts. I observed a class taught by Mr. Chavies and I observed the unique Kenpo movement I was intrigued by.<br><br>Since that time, I have been fortunate to be a student under the tutelage of Mr. Chavies. The study of American Kenpo Karate has led me to clarity in all facets of daily life as well as in the understanding of the Kenpo Alphabet of Motion applied to a combative situation. At this point in my study, I have discovered that Kenpo movement imagined within a combative situation could be effortlessly applied using continuous motion, comparative analysis and creativity.<br><br>The study of American Kenpo Karate as a student of Mr. Chavies has led me to appreciate the profound perennial study of the art which always stretches my thinking. I want to express my sincere thanks for Mr. Chavies' guidance.
