5948 Auburn Blvd F, Citrus Heights“I cannot say enough wonderful things about All Stage Canine Development! Their grooming is absolutely superb—my dogs have never looked better. I actually drive all the way from the Rockland area to bring my dogs here, even though there are several groomers much closer to my home, because the quality and care they provide is unmatched.
People constantly comment on how beautifully groomed my dogs are, and it’s truly a reflection of the skill and attention to detail at All Stage. The staff are incredibly kind and loving toward the dogs, and it shows—my pups actually get excited to go to the groomers, which says everything!
If you want your dogs to not only look amazing but also be cared for by people who truly love them, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!“

4417 Baron Ave, Sacramento“American River Canine saved our family! About two years ago, my fiancé and I adopted a German Shepherd named Bear from the Sacramento SPCA. Bear was, and still is, an energetic, fun-loving, sweet dog. He just wasn't friendly towards other dogs or cats. Bear would growl, lunge, and chase any other animal near him. Walking him just around the block was challenging because he would tug and try to go after other dogs and cats. It turns out that what we were interpreting as aggression, was actually pent-up excitement in Bear. Deric's extensive knowledge in psychology along with his years of experience working with dogs opened our eyes on how to better understand and communicate with Bear. Deric helped us work with Bear on commands like "place", "here", "out" and "leave it". Working on these commands seemed more like training for us humans, but it all paid off in the end. Nowadays, Bear is a much more obedient dog who can be in the same room as our cats without growling or trying to run after them. Walking Bear is no longer a scary activity. It is something we can do with ease. We even take Bear out in public places like Home Depot, PetSmart, and Iron Horse. We are also in the process of adopting another dog for our family too! Both Bear and our newer dog attend Deric's doggie daycare, The Nature of Dogs, twice a week. I can honestly say that if it weren't for Deric, we probably would have rehomed Bear. I am forever grateful for the dedication and insight Deric has given to our family. I would 100% highly recommend American River Canine for any of your canine training needs!“

2501 Avalon Dr, Sacramento“Absolutely the best in the business! Jamie is a true dog whisperer, she’s been grooming my dogs for over 10 years and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. She runs a one-woman operation with a heart of gold, always putting the animals first. From grooming high-risk dogs that chains refuse to handle, to brushing teeth, cleaning anal glands, and even spotting potential health issues....she does it all with care, consistency, and incredible knowledge.
Jamie doesn’t just groom......she guides. She’s pointed out growths, dental issues, weight changes, and more. Before I call the vet, I go to her. She offers advice, treatment options, and questions to ask that have saved me time and money. She’s even helped with leash training and nutrition. Reasonably priced and truly one-of-a-kind, Jamie is a gem!“

“We had heard about places nearby the Bay area where dogs could herd livestock and after doing some research, I found Performance Dog in Action located right outside of Sacramento. After texting Nola my dog's information, she slotted us for a 15 minute evaluation. It's $40 cash for her to train Maple on how to herd goats and also get some energy out of her. The whole location was very dog friendly with obstacle courses and even a manmade pond for dogs to cool off in. Nola recommended us to have Maple soak in the pool before her herding evaluation and it was a great idea because she pretty much dried off during half of the evaluation. Maple was a bit nervous, so she used her barking to herd the dogs initially. After a couple minutes, she used her movements to herd the goats and even chased one goat that left the pack. We were a little embarrassed with how much Maple barked in the beginning but she almost got it at the end! Nola is super patient, corrected Maple, and encouraging! Highly recommend reaching out to Nola to see if this is a good fit for your dog. We really enjoyed it!“

“I called Wag Time because we relocated from a country environment to a suburban one. Our 100lb dobie wasn’t used to all the excitement in his new neighborhood and he became reactive towards other dogs.
It’s been a long hard road for us but I’d have to say we finally turned a corner thanks to Don’s help. He has given us the tools to redirect our boy.
When he had a vet appointment they asked me if I’d sedated him because he was so calm. That is huge for us!
Don has alway kept our line of communication open between visits and that’s been very helpful. I would highly recommend Wag Time to anyone considering dog training.“
