“I wish I had a place like this with a stylist that worked with me. I came in the day before and asked how much just for a trim- no wash, no color, just take off six inches and maybe some layering. They asked me what my pricing was and I told them what was the minimum- I'm a busy mom and I don't want to spend $50+ for a haircut. They told me I could have anything from $25 and up depending on the stylist. I was "awesome, let's do $25 if you have someone available tomorrow." Boom! Fast, simple, friendly, and welcoming environment. I came in with my kid and they were so accommodating to both of us. Oh! Best part, dog friendly! My son was in heaven with the dogs. While I was getting my haircut, I saw the stylist who weren't working entertaining him, he was relaxing with the dogs, chatting up with everyone. Normally I would be nervous he would be creating havoc, but they were so kind to him and didn't make him feel like he was getting in the way. The stylist I had was Hannah and she was darling. So sweet and listened to what I wanted and executed the job. She did amazing and kept checking in to make sure everything was to my liking. I felt amazing and loving my new hairstyle! I've never loved a short haircut this length before. Hannah changed my mind bc she knew what she was doing! Next time I'm up here, I'm going straight to Axis and requesting Hannah and her pink scissors!!“

Updating my review here. This salon is fantastic in its new location on Nanaimo, as Franco and Victoria are the main stylists and they could never go wrong. I followed from their original location on Beatty because it’s really hard to find a good hairstylist for my hair. Franco always cuts my frizzy thick hair in the best way possible. I trust this place and highly recommend it!

She easily put together what she thought would work best with my hair colour and type. I really appreciate how much time and care she took with my hair. My stylist has always been Tanis (who is absolutely amazing by the way) but I’ve spent so many hours in Salon Haze over the years that I can honestly say all the stylists there do a phenomenal job. Tanis met me when I had dyed my hair near black with box dye for about 3 years. In about a year and a half (and lots of $$ and time) later, we were able to achieve a nice blonde balayage as my natural hair is blonde. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!“

I previously left a negative review due to an unpleasant experience with a front desk member who insisted on charging a cancellation fee after my phone call with them caused me to miss the cancellation window by one minute. As a longtime customer, I felt extremely disrespected by how the situation was handled.
However, I want to acknowledge that the staff member did follow up with an email to apologize, and I truly appreciated that gesture. It showed accountability and a willingness to make things right.“
