I asked for scandi style layers and soft side bangs, she was very patient as I am very picky with haircuts. That’s why finding someone I could truly trust with my hair has never been easy. After months of searching, I came across Artel Salon on Instagram. I looked through Ashley’s work, booked a consultation, and although I had three other salons on my list, after meeting her and visiting the salon, I just knew this was the right place for me.

One of the first things that made me feel genuinely welcome was the thoughtful email I received from the owners before my appointment. It may seem like a small detail, but those are the kinds of touches that make you feel valued before you even walk through the door.

When the day of my appointment finally arrived, I showed up with a thousand questions, huge expectations, and a mix of emotions. For more than three years, I hadn’t felt like myself when I looked at my hair. I didn’t recognize the person staring back at me in the mirror anymore, and that had affected my confidence more than I can put into words.

Ashley did something incredibly special she listened. She took the time to understand every concern I had, even the ones I struggled to explain myself. With so much kindness, patience, and professionalism, she walked me through everything and made me feel completely comfortable and understood.

The result?

My eyes filled with tears but they were happy tears. I was literally shaking with emotion. The only thing I could do was stand up and hug her.

Maybe that sounds dramatic to some people, but for me, it isn’t. My hair isn’t just about appearance. It’s one of the most vulnerable parts of who I am. Rebuilding my confidence has taken years of patience, love, dedication, and a significant investment of both time and money.
