“In early November of 2025, we set ourself up for the daunting task of renovating our backyard that has passed its former glory in this wettest time of the year. We contacted a few companies and it came down to deciding on the materials, budget and timeline.

Finally, True North Landscaping of North Shore won our hearts, with their meticulous details in their quote, the willingness to get started, their rave social media reviews and the competitiveness of their pricing.

Fast forward 5 weeks, sitting in my living room overlooking the finished backyard, with its artistically designed lower level covered with pavers, its magnificent Roman stone retaining wall and the rich soil ready for flowers to grow on, and more impressively, the sophisticated drainage system beneath this surface making sure it functions properly in the wet weather that had a lot of thoughts put in, I feel a sense of relief and total satisfaction.

The actual project took about 3 weeks and I have witnessed the sweat wiped and hardship endured by Emilio, Cliff and Rhys, our backyard is not easy to access and the amount of materials in and out was astronomical, but they did it with class, integrity, professionalism and craftsmanship. The team was the most pleasant to work with, and addressed our questions and concerns with no hesitations. They left no stones unturned and not a trace of garbage behind.

I knew when Emilio said “give me some time to prepare the quote, I might not give you the quote tomorrow, but may give you the day after”, he truly meant it. He is a man of his words.
