“First time patient here with Dr. Akers. Was referred due to difficulty with prior contact lens fittings. After reviewing the preliminary data obtained from the screening, he explained why I've encountered the challenges and showed how my age and the shape of my eyes (after Lasik in 2007) were contributing factors. Nothing wrong with the Lasik procedure, but I now understand why wearing soft lenses wasn't the best fit or option for me. I'm so glad I was referred. Thank you, Dr. Akers!“

I took my grandmother to her eye appointment yesterday and our experience was truly exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we felt cared for and understood.

The assistant who helped us was incredibly sweet and patient. She spoke perfect Spanish, took her time explaining every step, listened to my grandma’s stories, and gave her clear and comforting directions during the tests, despite my grandma usually being terrified of those machines. Her kindness made all the difference.

Then the doctor came in, and to our surprise, he also spoke Spanish fluently. He answered every single question my grandma had, never rushed her, and treated her with so much respect and empathy. My grandma was in tears in the car afterward because she felt truly seen and taken care of.

For anyone who feels intimidated, scared, or unsure about eye exams, especially elderly patients or Spanish speakers, I cannot recommend this office enough. They were absolutely wonderful. They also accepted her AHCCCS insurance with her doctor’s referral after she had eye surgery earlier this year.

We are so grateful for their service. 10/10 experience.“
