“I signed up for a membership and I have received 2 wonderful massages. I decided to use a different person for my 3rd massage and when I went this morning for my massage, I scheduled a month ago, I was told after sitting there for 10 minutes that the massage therapist didn't know she was scheduled this morning. Keep in mind, I scheduled this about a month ago and I also received a reminder of this appointment Friday which I confirmed. I was so upset. I woke up early, drove 30 minutes, and was thoroughly looking forward to massage bc I have really bad ongoing tension in my neck, shoulders, and upper back. The gentleman at the front was very apologetic and offered me some complimentary add ons for my next service but I am still extremely disappointed in how this was handled. They had a month to contact me to let me she wasn't scheduled to work that day and to schedule me for another day/time. This was a huge inconvenience and disappointment. I'm not sure I even want to continue my membership at this point.

UPDATE(6/2/26): I'm updating my review b/c Emma is amazing and is more than deserving of 5 stars. She's really helped relieve a lot of my neck tension, migraines, shoulder, and upper back pain. I believe she genuinely cares and she's exceptional at her job. Highly recommend!“

“I get a massage every week, at this location. The staff is always friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The spa itself is very clean. It has ample, comfortable chairs to sit in while you wait for your therapist. The front desk girls are friendly and kind. Jameel Richardson is the best massage therapist I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. He is soft-spoken, kind and listens to your individual needs. For example, he knows I am sensitive to smells and that I don't like a heated table. He always makes sure that the heater is off and that the room is smelling just right. If the table is still too warm after his previous client, he does not hesitate to move me to another empty room. I have never had such a good experience as I have had at Hand and Stone at McGowin Park. I would definitely recommend this location. I have had massages at the Battlehouse, private massages at my house, the Grand Hotel at Point Clear, but nothing compares to this location. Do yourself a favor and book your service here!!!“

I have reached out to several companies regarding post-operative and pre-operative services offered or for a list of referrals and everyone was either very short with me or dry based! The young-lady I just spoke with went above and beyond to educate me on the procedure I'm seeking, from giving me a price list of packages, medical clearances , faja sizing, and recovery home information! She was never rude or sassy when I asked what some might say were remedial questions lol. This is all new to me and I can truly say she's not after your money as she encouraged me to follow up with my doc need be. Though it was at telephone call I can honestly say it was a great experience and I will be following up with this medical/wellness office.“
