About Blackwell Medical Tower
Blackwell Medical Tower is in the heart of the medical district and home to several physician and specialty offices. It is also home to several hospital departments such as Outpatient Chemotherapy, Imaging (X-ray) Services and a Laboratory Patient Service Center. Parking is available in the connected Blackwell Medical Tower Parking deck accessed off Sivley Road across from the Huntsville Hospital Orthopedic & Spine Tower. The wait time for the busy elevator is long, and there is a $10 parking fee. Inside, check-in at the lobby desk is required, and a sticky with the room number is given. Multiple elevators are available. Wait times can be longer than typical to see physicians, but the check-in and check-out staff are kind and helpful, and on-site testing facilities for ordered tests are very helpful. The physicians are awesome, and the building is highly recommended for vascular specialist/surgery and dermatology visits. Remember where you parked!
If you're going to the vascular doctor, plan on being there a few hours. Arrive to the parking garage early because the wait time for the busy elevator is long! Husband in wheelchair so we couldn't take the three flights of stairs! But they were all friendly. It just really hurt my husband being in his wheelchair so long... Also I suggest you don't take off your socks until they're actually in the room to do their testing or your feet will be freezing!! And they charge $10 to park there! I pushed the call button and said I don't have any money or a token and let me out...they let me out. I better not get sent a bill for it because that's a ridiculous parking fee!
Valley Vascular Consultants (Dr. Knott's and Dr. Shepherd seen) located in Blackwell Medical Tower Huntsville. Awesome physicians. Check-in and check-out staff kind and helpful. On sites testing facilities for ordered tests very helpful. The wait times can be longer than typical to see physician for appointments but I highly recommend as vascular specialist/surgery.
I go here for my dermatologist. There is a parking deck connected by a lobby entrance. Once inside the building, you must check in at the lobby desk (you'll see someone standing there). Sometimes there's a short line. Tell them who you're going to see, and they'll give you a sticky to wear with the room number. Multiple elevators are available to get to your appointment. Remember where you parked!
