We absolutely love Ak center for the martial arts! My son has been going there for 2 years, and my daughter started this past summer. All of the instructors are kind but firm, they talk to all of the kids with respect and encourage them. I can't recommend them enough!

We are more than happy with the solar system from 907 Solar. We had another complete set-up at a different location by a competitor in Anchorage. The difference in the system, communication and service is day and night. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly with a focus on good customer service. See I have fine hair and no one has ever cut my hair as good as Nicole and I always get my hair highlighted and when she takes those foils out, she never pulls my hair. She is awesome at what she does.

Primary Electric has been our go-to electricians here at the Windbreak Cafe. They have never encountered a problem they couldn’t fix, every job has been completed quickly and they always charge a more than fair price.
I was referred to Sumner for septic work and am so thankful for that referral. I have always loved their homes and am glad to know I can call them for smaller jobs as well. The septic system was no small job though, it was winter, the most snow we had gotten at one time in years, and there were complications with the system. They knocked it out quickly and as affordably as possible. Great communication with me and my clients. Their work got the clients home to close on time and we are grateful to Max and his team for that. Thank you!
Texted with info on the job I needed done. Sent pictures and was given an estimate. I’m sure they would have come and done an estimate, but it was convenient for me that they were willing to give me an estimate over test. They got us on the schedule pretty quick too. We had two guys sent in to swap out some LED dome lights that were the standard of our new build, for Phillips hue smart lights we bought. They were at our house and unloaded with their supplies and started working by the time they said they would. They were professional and efficient and aware of the surroundings, no dings in the walls, etc. They had a big job, but cleaned up after themselves as they went and left no trace when they left and were done within the timeframe they estimated. I had the most amazing experience with Emma for my head spa experience. Don't skimp on your experience by doing the 30-min package... Do the 90-min session. It's so worth it! My hair issues improved with the oils she used; my scalp dryness is much better now. I've already re-booked with her 6-weeks out and will add her to my spa day regimen. She's a beautiful human and her vibe is cool, calm, and collected. She is worth every penny and then some. Would recommend to others; 50 gold stars!

I would like to give a shout out to Heather Wagoner for doing an amazing job on my hair. I am normally a bleach blonde and Heather helped me with the integrity of my hair by having me grow it out for a while. I went in the other day And she did a fabulous job on my highlights. It is so nice having real healthy hair again. Heather is so fun to be around. She brightens every room that she walks into. I’m so grateful to have hair that feels like hair and instead of hay. Lol I admire her hair knowledge and the salon is absolutely beautiful.

I am a woman with bra length curly hair and they charge the cheapest and do the best work in the valley. They might be missing the fanciness and the frills, but so unnecessary imo. I've never had a bad haircut here and the prices are so good, I usually tip 100%.

If you’re looking for a quick, but good haircut, Stay Golden Barber Studio is the place to go. Kayleen did a great job at cutting my hair, especially compared to other barbers I’ve been to in Alaska. She cut my hair EXACTLY how I asked, which no one else has done before. She even recommended products to make the curls in my hair look better and not so frizzy. I definitely will be returning here.

My family and I went in for my husband and 17 month old son! Lexie was our stylist and she was AWESOME. My son was not scared of her at all. He sat still and she showed him the tools she was using and let him touch so he would be comfortable. She was so gentle with him! Next was my husbands turn, he’s religiously gone to a barber in anchorage for years and I talked him into giving Hilda’s a try! Lexie gave him a skin fade, and there was not a single line in it. Blended perfectly. Not only was she quick and efficient, but she was way better priced. My husband was so impressed when he got in the car that he said he was never going back to his barber in anchorage again. 10/10 recommend Lexie & Hilda’s! First time walking in here and I'll be back! Came in for a head-shave and beard trim. Walking in, there were several people being served with one person ahead of me on their waitlist. I was sitting for MAYBE 5 minutes when my turn came up. My barber (didn't catch his name) was friendly and made quick, quality work of my requests. I'm very pleased with the service and shave/trim that I received and will be returning soon. Thanks!

Definitely the best tanning in the valley. Clean environment. Calm atmosphere. A little costly but worth it. They only dislike I have; is the darn reservations. People will book days in advance. Making it difficult to just drop in. I live further out so I'm not always in wasilla or busy. It can be frustrating. What happened to first come first serve? Maybe they can open another facility closer to Houston area

When I went in she gave me advice about the cut I was looking for and really took time to tailor my cut to my face and what I was looking for! When she styled it she used the most amazing products that were right for my hair type and they smelled delightful. We will be going back to visit her!

I am cautious and often disappointed when searching for a new hair stylist. I will always try to explain that I have A LOT OF HAIR! Being new to The Valley, I had no idea where I was going to find a stylist that would have the patience and the expertise to foil, color, cut and style my unusually thick head of hair.My previous stylist suggested Pretty Little Layers Salon. After finding Pretty Little Layers on Facebook, I called and spoke to Jesse who was sympathetic to my situation and understood what I was looking for so we promptly booked my first appointment.I found Pretty Little Layers to be a modest, clean, and a well-decorated, modern salon. When Jesse and I first met, she patiently listened to the outcome I was expecting, smiled, rolled up her sleeves and went on to do her thing. Jesse is very easy to talk to, considerate of her client’s requests and thoughtful when offering new ideas or advice on hair care. I always come out feeling like a million bucks after I see Jesse. I've known Lance for many, many moons... my brother has thick and curly hair and no one ever cut it as good as Lance... I would send anyone in the area he lives in to go to him bc even when my brother was a child he was SO EXCITED to go get a barbershop experience "like the movies" (in my bros lil kid words) from Lance.

Aesthetics by StacyIf I could, I would give this lady 10/10 stars. She was BEYOND amazing. Stacy is so sweet and patient, especially with it being my first ever Brazilian. I was nervous and kind of scared, I didn't want it to be awkward which was my biggest fear of all. However, she and I had a wonderful conversation throughout the time I was there which I feel made the experience that much more enjoyable. For hair removal, facials and the over all spa experience, I definitely know where ill be going for future service as well as who I'd be recommending other to use.

From the front office to the service call I had a great experience with Mat su mechanical. Dante serviced and walked me through my hot water and heating systems and took the time to explain the maintenance schedule and what to pay attention to. Dante was on time, came prepared with all the right items even though they can be hard to get and really went the extra mile. He also figured out how to reset the controller so the humidifier actually works. He's only been gone an hour and the house is more comfortable. Thank you Dante! I wanted to add that my mom had struggled to find a good contractor so big thanks to Mat Su who seems to spot issues and improve our relatively new system so it will be safe and long lasting. It is such a relief knowing this company has our back and is incredibly kind, respectful and responsive to individual customer needs. Thank you so much!

I had a bunch of questions about laying my own infloor heating. The good old boy behind the counter was very accommodating. Although they had a steady flow of customers coming in he really took his time on my project. They rented me some tools for my DIY project and when I'm ready I'll be going back to get the boiler and fittings there. Highly recommended.

We’ve been dealing with a crappy water heater since we moved in and I’ve been fighting with the home warranty HSA company.
The first service call Meadow Lakes Supply Co. Plumbing and Heating LLC. came out and put in for a replacement. Which HSA first approved and then changed their mind for a second opinion. The second company comes and the guy who comes out reiterates the same thing Meadow Lakes did but then my claim was denied. When I called back the plumber acted like he couldn’t remember me from a week prior. I could only get them to communicate via text and they stated it was a water quality problem…
Second service call a couple months later and I refused to let the 2nd company come to my house. HSA of course wants a 2nd opinion and the battle started. If I had to do a 2nd opinion that’s fine but with a different company than the first 2nd opinion and HSA didnt want that. A month later, multiple calls, never a manager call back and my claim was changed to a steam boiler per the 2nd opinion company who never came out the 2nd time. More battling and Meadow Lakes stepped in and helped also.
All this to say, my water heater was FINALLY replaced today and Meadow Lakes Supply co was phenomenal. I originally had Mike out and then it was Brian and both were amazing to work with and the office staff was phenomenal each time we spoke with them - which was often . We highly recommend.
All smoke detectors giving a false alarm all. night. long! Called Vannoy in the morning and they were here by mid afternoon and fixed all the problems. From the person answering the phone to the tech they sent out, they were compassionate and got the work done! Thank you!!! 100% recommend.

Dryer knob set up was broken. Ordered a new set up right away over the phone and was there with in days. It was an easy fix even though I'm not familiar with them. Instead of just gouging me for the repairman to do it they encouraged me to try doing it 1st to save the money(since it was very simple lol). And it was easy in this instance. Thanks stans repair for being reliable and saving me money. I would recommend giving them a call for problems big or small

Devin is a good human! After our kitten was up an evergreen tree for 48 hours, he offered to come over at 9 PM and rescue her. He expertly scaled up the tree, took time to comfort the cat so she felt safe, and rappelled back down with her. Thank you for your expert arborist skills and compassion for animals. He said it was good Karma for future climbs!

I initially started coming here for chronic back pain. I was well enough to get back to work with no restrictions. Then I was hit head on, and needed care for my neck and back and they thoroughly doctored me back to somewhat normal conditions before the accident. I had a 60 minute massage with Joyce. She is very sweet and knowledgeable, utilized cranial-sacral techniques per my request, as well as other techniques in her tool-box. One of the most relaxing massages I have had yet! Would recommend Joyce any day :)

I took our new Maine Coon in. Never had a long haired cat. So I need some assistance. Met at the door with a smile, friendly conversation, got our baby Sukuna a lion cut. He was completed in like 45 minutes. Looks fantastic. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about this place! From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. The before and after difference in our dog was unbelievable, he looked like a completely different pup, in the best way possible.
You can tell they truly care about the animals they work with. Our dog was treated with so much kindness and patience, and he came home not just looking great but clearly feeling happy and relaxed.
The team is professional, gentle, and genuinely passionate about what they do. It’s rare to find that combination of skill and heart these days. We felt totally comfortable leaving our dog in their care, and we’ll definitely be back.

Had a wonderful massage with Kaylie. Room was calming, nice music, warm table and soft sheets/blankets. She did a nice full body massage and talked as I initiated conversation. She found some areas that needed more work, and delicately worked on them. Felt relaxed and refreshed afterwards. Highly recommend!

Everyone at Alaska Massage Studio was so nice and friendly. They made sure my partner and I were well taken care of and relaxed. We decided to take part in their Valentine's Day Special with the couples hot stone massage. I was definitely nervous to try my first hot stone massage but the lady at the front desk gave me a quick run down of what was going to happen and I'm so happy I tried it. I left feeling AMAZING, completely relaxed and rejuvenated. 10/10 We will definitely be coming back.
