I would recommend NWSAM to anyone seriously interested in animal care through body work. The instructors, online and in person, have years of knowledge they pass on through each course. Although I am new to the massage field, I have confidence and mentorship because of this school. Every resource you can imagine is available to you. I will be continuing in my studies here. Jake and his crew are amazing. They show up and get the work done! They did beautiful pasture fencing for us plus a perimeter fence to keep our dogs in.They cleared many blackberries and scotch broom bushed and then took them off our property.They were always on time and just did amazing craftsmanship with incredible attention to detail! They were able to clean up my driveway that had seen much better days, figuring out a draining problem for me and clean out some curtain drains.Lastly, my boys were sad about us moving to Vashon and Jake and his crew were able to put in an amazing pump track for my boys! They are so excited about their new house now and that’s a big thanks to Jake and his crew.I would recommend them to anyone, they are fantastic and they worked with me on my budget!
Baron Construction did a great job on our home remodel on the Eastside. We had a fairly complex project, given that we were updating a mid century modern home and we wanted to ensure that we kept the house true to its original design and detailing. We had a lot of custom details to work through, but Trace and his crew did a great job and we came in on time and on budget.
The Hive team is truly one of a kind. I hosted my first cake decorating class at the hive and my experience with them was amazing. They are extremely sweet, professional and helpful. The space was really beautiful, open and can be customized to fit any event. I was unsure on how to set everything up so I trusted their expertise and years of experience. They set everything up perfectly for my event and really helped to make my vision come alive. Thanks to them my event was a success and I can’t wait to host more events at The Hive.

My experience was one of the easiest and most pleasant after many years of construction and remodeling projects on Vashon. Frank helped me choose a few samples one week ago, today I am sitting back in my living room after replacing all of the flooring in my home! Frank is knowledgeable, kind, communicative and time sensitive. His team was very respectful of our space and possessions and was able to replace the flooring with our large furniture still in the house. We had a few challenging areas and the results are beautiful! On time, on budget and everyone was kind and friendly.

Candy gives the most luxurious, relaxing facials! She was gentle and spent time with me before my session to ask about my personal skincare needs. Not only was my face pampered, she spent the better part of an hour massaging my arms, hands, legs, feet, shoulders and neck. It was beyond heavenly! This is a good place for milder adjustments as opposed to the bone cracking type most are used to. He has helped me over many years and kept me in good shape. The biggest challenge is working with the hours of operation but you get used to it
Ronly is the best yoga teacher. She makes yoga fun & interesting. Her classes are well-thought-out with a cohesive, choreographed feel, appropriate to her background as a professional dancer. After her class my body and mind are at their harmonious, energized best. Ronly is a gift and an asset to Vashon Island.
Full Circle offers a wide range of natural holistic modalities of treatment for "what ails ya". I have noticed a small sign they place out front on Tuesday for Acupuncture. I had never tried it and had been meaning to do so for months. I was pleasantly surprised it didn't hurt and it felt good to relax in the treatment room.It looks like a normal cottage from the road, but there is a huge wheelchair ramp. Very causal atmosphere, sign yourself in, go to a treatment room, wait for Dennis. There are about fifteen practitioners that share the space massage therapists, to mental health therapists.I had the feeling that they are more of a mission to help others than a business to help themselves. Very impressed and will be back next Tuesday.
Salana is fabulous. She does a great job, she's fun to talk to, and she's on time. I have short, straight, fine hair with multiple cow-licks, which I have to imagine is some of the most challenging since it is unforgiving, and she gets it done!

Love our island vet clinic! Fair Isle takes exceptional care of my dogs and cats. The vet techs and vets are all great with the animals and are very knowledgeable and good communicators. They are accommodating of my needs and always willing to do appts in their back room with its own entry to be able to skip waiting in and traveling thru the waiting room and rest of clinic. This is helpful for me and for my more dog-reactive ACD.

I’ve been coming to the Vashon Athletic Club since the 90’s. And although I currently don’t live on Vashon, every time I come back for a visit there is something else that has been upgraded in the club. The facilities are very versatile and no matter what type of workout you’re looking for, the VAC probably has the space and equipment for you. The indoor pool area (with hot tub and cold plunge), surrounded by trees, is serene. Nick and Sarah are amazing owners and I’m grateful for everything they’ve done with the club!!

Jan Neutz (VMI) is a competent, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable person who quickly understood exactly what I was looking for in a prospective tenant. She composed an excellent, detailed ad for my rental and knew how to price it fairly. Two different, but excellent possible renters for me to choose from responded in record time. She crafted a comprehensive rental agreement for the renter, helped me avoid several mistakes I would have made without her advice, and the entire project was smooth and worry-free. After 10 years of trying to do all this on my own I knew exactly how much anxiety I was saving myself by asking her to do the job. She knows this business, and I recommend her without reservation.
