“Cynthia saved the day!

It's the beginning of July and summer is so busy. I had forgotten to pre-order flowers for my mother's 81st birthday so I called Flora Tacoma around noon on the day. I picked Flora Tacoma because it was the closest flower shop to where my mother lives, and I figured if I needed same day delivery, it would probably be best to pick a flower shop that was close by. I sure as heck lucked out by choosing them!

Cynthia answered and was immediately very helpful and responsive with planning a bouquet. I let her know what my mother's favorite flowers were and that I wanted something very cheerful and bright as a birthday bouquet. This was especially important because my mother has been grieving the loss of a close family member that had passed away recently. I let Cynthia know that I really needed something that was going to brighten the room and lift her spirits.

About 4 hours later my mother sent me a message with photos of the bouquet and kept going on and on about how beautiful it was. She kept sending pictures of the individual unique flowers that made the arrangement so full and interesting. (Scarlet beebalm, among others) She loved the designer colored roses. They were fascinating to her because she'd never seen roses in those colors before. She told me she had to touch them to make sure they weren't fake because they looked so amazing.

Cynthia had done the delivery personally. I don't know if this is common or if she took it upon herself to take this last minute delivery of her own volition, but it was much appreciated. I feel like she had a lot of compassion for my mother who was feeling so sad on her birthday. I live out of state and couldn't be there to comfort her with anything more than a phone call.

My mom has a funny comic strip pasted to her apartment door and she said that Cynthia commented on it and they had a laugh about it, and that Cynthia wished her a happy birthday. I could tell that meant a lot to her as most delivery people just shove the item into your hand and walk away.

I'm so grateful for finding Cynthia and Flora Tacoma. The tasteful artistry in flowers and the compassion towards another human being is why I will always buy flowers for my mom and other family members from this establishment.“
