A cute and well created plant shop! They had a wonderful selection, friendly and helpful staff, and a lot of very clear and helpful signage and leaflets (pun slightly intended).Definitely a place I'll be returning to in the future

I have two ZZ plants that were in dire need of repotting. The Fernseed knew just what they needed, and for an incredibly reasonable price the two are quite happy with their new digs! Staff person was very knowledgeable and kind. The plants in the shop are gorgeous, and they have everything you would need from pots to plant food. They have a new repeat custome!

My workgroup took a 2 hour flower arranging class at the Fernseed. There were 20 of us. The team at the Fernseed had everything organized and enough flowers for all of us to make amazing arrangements.There is more to making arrangements than I knew!The instructors were amazing, giving us enough information to learn what we needed, but not too much that they lost us. And then their team provided hands on help to 20 people, and we did all this in 2 hours!If you're looking for a unique and fun group event, I highly recommend the Fernseed!

From The Fernseed

The Fernseed is a local plant and flower shop with two locations: one on South Tacoma Way, and one in Tacoma's Proctor District. Our South Tacoma Way shop offers fresh flowers for sale both by the stem and in ready-made arrangements, as well as daily floral delivery within 200 miles of Tacoma. We source 60-70% of our flowers locally, from Washington-based flower farms and backyard micro growers based right here in Tacoma. We also sell house plants! We specialize in plants that are low light tolerant and easy to care for. We believe plants make great gifts, so we offer an in-store potting service so you can buy a plant and pot together. Our shop also features a wide variety of handmade ceramic plant pots and vases.
