Now she’s settled into a routine that works for her — she’s picked up by Pet Taxi in the mornings, and I pick her up in the afternoons. “My picky Shiba enjoyed going. Very simple, dropped her off and picked her up. Responsive staff. My pup was tired when picking her up so I know she had a good time playing with other dogs through the day.“

“Drove out here hoping to save our snake but she died on the way there. They were very compassionate and handled her cremation and gave us a clay print of her body. I live clear up in Smokey Point but it was worth it for how compassionate they were.“

Having previous dogs including our current 7 year old Boston/Frenchie we thought we were prepared to easily introduce a second dog to our household. However this has proven to be much more challenging than we anticipated. Both Jessica and Shawna have a great understanding of puppy behavior and dog interactions. Their knowledgeable instruction has been extremely helpful for us, teaching us how to handle a stubborn puppy and how to manage the daily interactions between our two dogs. Even if you think you know dogs I would still highly recommend their puppy classes to better understand your puppy’s behavior and how to appropriately respond to them to achieve the best behaviors.“

“Our dog loves going to SouthPaw Dog Ranch. Melanie, the owner, is great with him and I can tell she really cares about the dogs that stay there. I have a mini husky mix and can get anxious when we are away. I feel good about leaving him here. He’s always happy when I pick him up and looks forward to staying. It is a huge relief knowing he’s cared for while we are away. I highly recommend this boarding place anytime.“

“I took my large dog for the 2.5 years I lived in Seattle. I loved it because he loved it. Drew and the previous manager are absolutely wonderful. When I showed up to pick him up, he was usually asleep in one of the corners or cots.

Our favorite things about DDO were that there was a cap to the number of dogs per day (meaning the person there had control of the place and could tell if something was off with the dogs), that they could come in and out (for my dog this was extra special because he is a live stock guardian breed and likes to lay and observe), and that the backyard had wood chips (the dogs didn’t get muddy and they didn’t have to be on concrete or turf that usually made my dog smell extra icky). For all of those reasons I drove 40 minutes each way to keep him there after we moved from a closer area.

Now we’ve moved away from Seattle but my dog and I REALLY MISS DDO and his dog besties.

“We've only brought our dog here a couple of times so far, and in that short about of time we have been blown away by the daycare services! Our border collie mix usually mellows out after a few hours of activity, but he's always tired when we pick him up, which is quite a feat. The staff is incredibly kind, and always let us know that they love our dog. This kind of feedback grants me a lot of peace, as other daycares have just thrown him in a pen with other dogs all day, while here employees actually interact with the dogs.
