“This was my second visit in 2 months! These ladies are kind and they get right to work. The first thing I noticed was how clean the salon was. Next everyone steps in to help. One was braiding my hair and another came over and started the snipping the hair sticking out of the finished braids. They clean the stations and sweep right away and make room for the next client. They confirm the style you want and explain how to care for the hair and even do a test braid for your approval before moving on. Some of the kindest women I've ever encountered. I WILL be back! “I chose to splurge for my birthday and try something I saw in a YouTube video...A Japanese Head Spa. If you don't know what that is, please google it. It was nothing short of amazing. Parking & Location This was located at a strip mall so the parking was plentiful. It was a huge parking lot so I see no one having issues finding a parking spot. This was located in a suite of salons located in Woodbridge, VA. Ambiance The entrance was very secure as it was double doors and you needed to call your stylists before being granted entry to the actual suites. In between the double doors is a small sitting area. I used the directory to dial Anna Mae and she responded fast. She was out to greet me within minutes. I followed her back to her private salon where I was surprised to see that there were no other clients. Normally, at any salon you'll have one person under the hair dryer, another waiting, and one still in the chair finishing up. This was already a plus because it was a custom experience. Experience She begun by introducing herself to me and showing me as well as telling me about her certifications. She is not only a Licensed Cosmetologist but also a Certified Japanese Head Spa Specialist. Next she offered me snacks and chai tea....happily excepted all of the above. I mean these were the good snacks, kind bars, Olli Pop soda, RXBAR protein/granola bars, and fresh chai tea. She explained the service options and possible add-ons. I opted for the deep cleaning option. Then she brought out the camera and showed me my scalp that I do not grease but looked like it hadn't been washed in a long while. She proceeded to take me over to the shampoo table, yes you lay down to get your hair washed. She provided me with a steam warm eye patch to place over my eyes, and I got under a big cozy blanket. She put a pillow under my legs so I would be comfortable. She was very gentle as I have type 4 natural hair and she took her time to separate my hair into sections, detangle, and used her finger pads to scrub my head. As if that was not enough, she asked permission to massage my feet and later my back. Consent is so important and she definitely understood that. Of course I agreed and was basically in heaven. I believe the massagers were percussion massagers so they had some power to them. When I was all washed, I went back to the chair and received a scalp massage as well. Then she showed me my scalp again on the camera and explained the treatment to me. It looked like someone else's head based on the earlier video. I could even see where some of the follicles were trapped and unable to grow from the previous build up and had now been freed (if that makes sense). I opted for the blow dry add on because why not. She'd been so gentle with my type 4 hair and I figured I would milk it. LOL the experience was immaculate and Anna Mae was a wonderful stylist!! Ten out of Ten would absolutely recommend her services. I will be back for special occasions or treats :).“

“I’ve have know Kadi since I was in my early teens. I called earlier to inquire about getting my hair braided since I have short hair. I came into the should around 630/645 and was greeting by all the ladies. I showed Kadi my short hair and she assured me that it can be braided. She had two lovely ladies available who were able to grip my 1 inch hair. And when I tell you these ladies did a BOMB job… they did their thing. I truly appreciate them for taking me same day and executing the hair style also!

“A couple of days ago, I discovered Parish Blue due to a last-minute hair emergency. I spoke with the owner to see if I could schedule an appointment within 30 minutes to an hour. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful, assuring me I could get my hair done within the hour. The stylist who did my hair (I think his name was Joe or Willy—I'm sorry ?!) he was so sweet and accommodating, making sure everything was to my liking. I found Woodbridge Barbers and Salon online, and booked Araceli. We got there, it was her and Sandra working, both were with a client, Araceli was cutting a man’s hair and Sandra was trimming a man’s beard. Araceli greeted us, while we were waiting, I watched they both takes their time to give the quality service to their clients….not rushing because they had people waiting. When it’s my younger son’s turn, I showed her how we wanted it cut, she constantly communicates with us, it was his first haircut at a barber shop, not only Araceli had delivered the exceptional service, my kiddo was very calm under her shears. ? Followed was my older son (12) who had a hair cut by her, he told her how he wants it cut, in between she communicates well with him, that shows a professionalism. I know we have found our stylist!“
