“If I had to sum it up in one word: Wow!I had a full bleach out, fashion color, and cut with Kristy and Ruby. Both were so incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I felt comfortable and heard through the whole process.Ruby was able to fix a terrible Great Clips cut (I know, I know) and she took my hair history and upkeep preferences into account while explaining the cutting/coloring process in great detail. She even mixed up a take-home color and threw in a product to help keep my hair color vibrant. What an icon. #RubyforPresidentKristy was friendly and considerate throughout the whole process, which was a little over 7 hours, and made sure I had snacks. Bleaching a whole head of hair is no joke! Kristy's fashion color placement was great, and delivered the "kisses of pink" I was looking for without overpowering the overall gray look. She's a great stylist!I've been looking for a local salon for quite some time, and I'm so glad to have found The LABoratory. They keep the highest level of professionalism and precision without sacrificing kindness in the process.“

“Customer service was great. Everyone was welcoming and accommodating. The salon was nice and clean.I am very grateful that I was able to get a same day appointment for a very specific hairstyle. Abiy took care of me today. I wanted straight back cornrows with added extensions. She did warn me that she would do a test braid first before continuing to see if I would like it. I appreciated that as I know not a lot of people know how to do African-American hair.Overall she did a great job for something she might not have been used to.One thing I noticed when I got home is that a couple of the braids did start to unravel probably due to being cut just a little too short but the rest of the braids are fine.I was also a bit taken aback by the price which was $180. I am not sure if that’s the standard as I am new to the area but that is a steep price for what is usually a style that doesn’t last very long and is fairly simple. I should have done my research for sure but I know for next time.“
