“What an amazing massage! I was dealing with so much neck and lower back pain, and the deep tissue massage was incredible. The pressure point work and techniques were exactly what I needed. There were moments I had to breathe through the tight muscle release, but that’s the whole point, right? Loosening up muscles that have been stuck is absolutely worth it. I tried her two-part Microdermabrasion facials, spaced about six weeks apart. She has a cozy treatment room inside the Dillingham Square Salon Plaza, where she provides both hair and facial services. She was pleasant to chat with, and I enjoyed our conversations about pets and family.

For this facial, you don’t undress - you keep your clothes on (just remove your shoes) and relax under a soft fleece blanket. The service begins with facial steaming and blackhead removal, during which she also gently removes any makeup. Next, she uses a Microdermabrasion suction wand over the surface of your face. After that, she applies a foaming oxygen gel mask and lets it sit. Before gently wiping off the mask, she quickly rolls a cool facial roller over your skin, then places a red light therapy dome over your head for about 10 minutes. She finishes by lightly dabbing on what seems to be a mild essential oil.

My skin felt noticeably smoother, fresher, and more refreshed, with unclogged pores, after each service. However, I do wish she ended the facial with a hydrating serum and moisturizer - my skin felt dry and uncomfortably unmoisturized afterward, and I’ve always considered moisturization a standard, necessary final step in facials.

Her current deals are hard to beat, and she offers even better rates once you become a long-term client. She’s easy to contact via text, which is a nice convenience, and she’s a warm, friendly, beautiful person. That said, there are a few things that could make the experience feel more like a full facial/spa treatment. In my past facial experiences, estheticians have included facial, neck, and décolletage massage - sometimes even shoulders, arms, or hands - while waiting for masks or treatments to set. Here, we just sit in silence or pleasantly chat. I’ve also never had to keep my top on during a facial before, since treatments often extend to the neck and décolletage area.

A few small touches - like incorporating light massages, extending treatments beyond just the face, adding soothing background music, dimming the lighting, and enhancing the décor, and maybe adding a heated blanket - could create a more relaxing, spa/facial-like atmosphere.

Overall, Mazna is a lovely person who offers quality facial services at a truly great price. I enjoyed meeting her and recommend giving her a try, especially if you’re looking for an affordable way to keep your skin feeling fresh and youthful.“
