“We have taken all our animals to AVAH since we moved to Staunton in 1986. In that time, they have saved the lives of our pets more than once and always kept them healthy. The doctors and whole staff get to know you and your pets and clearly want the best for them, and they know how to deliver. Our pit bull, Lilly, loves everybody there. She doesn't like the shots or having her temperature taken, but you can't have everything. Before and after those procedures, you'd think she was at the dog park, she is so excited to see everyone, and they are all obviously just as happy to see her and to help keep her healthy.“

Dr. Kallaway has truly gone above and beyond for my dogs. She carefully reviewed years of prior medical records and took every precaution to ensure my dogs were safe during their recent dental procedure. Her thoroughness, clinical expertise, and dedication are evident in every interaction so far.

Additionally, the pricing at Maple Lane is fair and reasonable, especially compared to other practices in the Harrisonburg area. We happily drive out of town for this level of care.

When our 3 year old Walker coonhound was diagnosed with cancer they were quick to get us to a surgeon who could care for her. “????? Excellent care from staff and surgeons. My gelding had an emergency eye removal on Thanksgiving weekend a few years ago. Dr. Trostle was kind enough to come in and do the surgery in the early morning so I could bring my boy home that afternoon. He recovered well and lives pain free at last!“
