Probably the best massage I've ever had! Masseur said her name was Coco, not sure if the spelling is correct, but she was amazing. I didn't check the clock to make sure I got the full hour, but it was worth the $60, even if I didn't.
I had such a wonderful experience with Sarah and the Comeback Hair Studio! I saw from her website and social media pages that she produced quality work and she exceeded my expectations! During my initial consultation, Sarah was very helpful in me deciding what the best methods were to loc my hair to ensure healthy hair and the desired look I was hoping for. During my installation for micro locs, she was re-assuring, professional and did an amazing job on my hair! I was so worried that I would go through an “ugly stage” with my hair being in its infancy stage but honey!! I have felt amazing and confident and I love love love my hair! I can get up and go while juggling home life and working multiple jobs! I love my hair and can’t wait to see how my microlocs continue to grow and flourish! Thanks Sarah for getting me together!

Catherine is incredible!! This was my first time going and she made me feel so comfortable. Her energy is welcoming and inviting. The hair style is a 10/10!! I got knotless boho braids using only human hair. They came out perfect!! Better than the photo I showed her! She will be my new stylist when I move to the area. Please tip her always! She stood for hours. When I came in she was doing someone else’s hair. I thought she would take a break… she went right into doing my hair for hours. I can’t believe how perfect my hair is. Walker Machine and Foundry Corp.Over my 50 years we have used various services. Republic has done the best job. Customer Service is very responsive and has solved problems when they have occurred. There have been some twisty ones, too. The best part, what keeps me from occasionally checking around, is our rep for the past couple of years Lauren Davis. Higher Ground Hair is the best salon in Roanoke. The salon is clean and always smells good. The stylists are welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. And the stylists do a great job on many types of hair. My mom, myself, my dad and my son all go there and they treat us all with kindness respect and compassion. Awesome place! My 15 yo has been growing out their hair for awhile, and they had been wanting a trim. They were nervous about getting it styled and tend to feel shy around new people. Matthew did a wonderful job! They said Matthew made them feel very comfortable, and that they absolutely love how their hair turned out. It was trimmed and layered and looks great! Making an appointment was a breeze , and they can't wait to go back next time they are ready for a cut. It's the first time they have left a salon and felt good and confident about how their hair turned out. Matthew even shaped up their eyebrows, which they were very happy about as well. 10/10!

Best spray tanning place in Roanoke! I have been getting spray tans from Amanda since 2017. She is amazing! So personable, knowledgeable, & excellent at what she does! The salon has now been expanded into a hair salon too and I've started getting my hair done by Jenn, she is amazing! I never leave disappointed & her personality will make you feel like you've known her forever! Amanda has whitened my teeth in the past which turned out amazing too! I also was hesitant to get massages since I've had 2 prior horror experiences, but Leandra is absolutely wonderful & goes above & beyond to make you feel comfortable! Her voice is so soothing, she gives you exercises to help at home, she is the sweetest! This place has turned into an amazing salon over the years! Love!!! Recommend to everyone!!!
I have been going to this place for a few months now and I have had a good experience but today I wanted to rave about an employee named Jacob. After I tanned my wedding ring dropped and I thought it went under the bed and he got down on the floor to look for my ring with me and I couldn’t believe it. Lisa is an excellent nail tech, who gives you good service for a reasonable price. In addition to her wonderful manicures and pedicures, she puts cleanliness at the top of her regimen.

This place is a hidden gem. Grace is kind and easy to talk to ,her prices are unbeatable and her work is great. I moved here a year ago and have been to 3 different places, and there is no comparison, she is awesome.
This was one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. She found out from one of my friends and bridesmaid’s who was getting her hair done that I needed my nails done for my wedding and had planned to go to the mall as a walk-in. She offered without hesitation and I couldn’t believe the experience. I felt like I was in a high luxury spa and she brought all that to me. I was surrounded by love on one of the best days of my life and treated like a queen by this incredibly professional and skilled woman. I will recommend this experience to every bride and woman I know. She even offered her services to my bridal party just in case they needed someone thing last minute. She was kind and considerate and conversational. She knew I was nervous about getting my nails done professionally and talked me through the steps. She also has the ability to adapt to the personality of the client. So if you needed a silent appointment you would feel completely at ease just as much as with someone with a high energy personality. BOOK THE APPOINTMENT. It’s worth it. YOU are worth it.

Southwest nails is my go to nail salon in the area! They are always punctual, efficient, and my nails have been perfect every time. I have come in several times with nails that are in need of rescuing and far overdue, but they are always kind and do such a great job. When I chipped a nail a few days after getting them done, they got me back in immediately to fix it no questions asked. While they are appointment only, it’s easy to get an appointment same day if needed, and I appreciate they’re so well organized with their appointments that you never walk in only end up waiting far past your scheduled time. Tools and equipment is always clean, and every nail tech I’ve had there has been equally and wonderfully skilled!
Being new to the Roanoke area I was a little unsure of where to go and get my nails and toes done. After trying many different nail salons, I finally found the perfect fit.
LA Nails is a place that not only has a fun and caring staff, but they are all fabulous at doing great nails and pedicures. If you are looking for acrylic nails Taylor is awesome! I have yet to have one chip or come off. She always remembers your name and makes not only you, but your family, friends and referrals feel welcomed and cared for.

I am a first-time acrylic nails wearer…At least I was back in October. I was scared to death to get them done, but after going through menopause, my nails are very brittle, soft, bendable, etc. I felt like this was a good choice for me to try this. The two workers (owners!) at TLC Nails are wonderful! They put me at ease from the very beginning about trying this new process. They were very friendly and kind, and the salon is very clean. After the acrylics were put on, I didn’t even recognize my own nails…they were gorgeous! I feel that my hands themselves look much more attractive . Through the weeks that I’ve been having them continually done by TLC Nails, they have been able to grow out and of course, remain much stronger with the protection that has been put on them. The salon has a great many colors to choose from, and so many services that you can have done. Ginny has an extraordinary talent for nail art, from the wild and one-of-a-kind, to your every day painted nails with simple designs. I am thrilled with this place, and will continue to return.
This was my first visit, and I couldn’t be happier. I was greeted and helped right away by the man at the front. Even though they had mixed reviews on their chrome nails, I gave the purple chrome a try because it was such a pretty color and I wanted something cool and floral. I’m absolutely in love with how they turned out, especially for the price. I believe it was around $55, which is such a steal considering the set and the customer service. It’s been around 5 days since my visit and this set still looks fresh. Will 100% be coming back even though I live in Blacksburg. Totally recommend those in the area to come by.

Misty is so amazing!! I brought my neice in for her birthday and after a while (since she missed lunch at school) she got hungry. Misty offered her snacks of her own and made sure she was comfortable! She did such an amazing job on her hair and mine! This is my forever salon! If I could give 10 ? I would! She won't let you leave unhappy or not satisfied. The dark is before obviously!! She slayed my teens hair!!

I got my hair done for a friend’s wedding there with her bridal party. They made quick work of our hair and had great teamwork. The lady that curled my hair was so lovely to talk to! She showed me a great dry shampoo too for my dark hair!

I love Naturoils products. I used the Clean Cat, Rose Water, Orange Vanilla Soap, Charcoal Peppermint Detox Soap, Healthy Hair Growth oil, and the Sleepy Time Herb Infused Aromatherapy Roll on. All of these products are great. The sleepy time I used on my son and it definitely helped him with falling asleep at night.
I had a wonderful, special day here as a birthday gift from my husband. The house where the spa is located has really been glammed up on the inside - shiny things everywhere, chandeliers, it's perfect! I had a glorious Swedish massage with Matt who has a wonderful technique! Then, the cactus body toning cocoon and the age-defying facial were done by Lillian. What pure decadence! Becky, at the front, was warm and welcoming. I could not have had a better day!
I’ve been going here for about 3 years now and I see Dusty, she is so awesome and does such amazing work. This is by far the best tattoo shop I have ever been to, everyone is so welcoming and kind. Everyone that works here is so talented and if anyone ever asks me where to get tattooed I always recommend Bad Wave.
Eric took my ideas and turned them into an amazing tattoo piece and added so much meaning to the original inspiration . He was very detailed in his work and wanted the tattoo to represent more than what I could have imagined. He nailed it! The shop is clean, welcoming, relaxing and a fun atmosphere. The staff treat you professionally but it still feels like you are visited old friends. The variety of styles and talent mean just about anything is possible and they will take all the time you need to discuss options and create designs for you. These folks have mad skills when it comes to taking a description of a design and bringing it to life in a sketch and then a tattoo. I really can’t recommend them enough.

Went in to get my earlobes pierced. I was nervous but Janelle did a wonderful job! It was quick and the pain wasn’t too bad. They know what they’re doing and pierce with a needle instead of using a piercing gun. The shop is kept clean and the staff is knowledgeable. I was very happy with the experience and would definitely come back if I want more piercings!
Roger did an amazing job reworking a tattoo that I was unhappy with. He took something I was ashamed of and made it into something I couldn't wait to show off. And he's much nicer than I expected :)
Came for a septum piercing on my 36th birthday and left with the piercing and a tattoo. :)

Ted and his guys helped me install my gas firepit. I planned to do some of the work myself, which he helped me to plan. He lined up the gas company to upgrade my meter and came out and finalized the installation. Very prompt, good communication and willing to help! Couldn't ask for more!
Jason installed a new gas hot water heater for me. He was prompt, knowledgeable, fair priced, and did a great job on a same day installation. I highly recommend him.

Eades Plumbing is great. I have had to use them multiple times and the father and son duo is quick and professional. Their pricing is also very fair and they try to give you options and not just convince you to do expensive or pointless fixes. If you need any plumbing work done, definitely call Eades! Very trustworthy company.
I had an after-hours crisis….water leaking from a pipe in crawl space. I called Kennard Pace and Tyler came out and made the necessary repairs. Just needed wax ring replaced on toilet. It's hard to find people who are willing to do such small jobs these days. Called on Monday and they came on Wednesday. Chris called me back promptly and scheduled a visit the next morning. He showed up on time, listened to my concerns, talked me through his solutions, and performed great work while he was here. He was able to quickly diagnose and repair some very dangerous wiring that the previous home owner had done. He also took time to advise me on some less-critical changes that I should make to my home electrical system, and instead of trying to upsell me on more work, talked me through how I could do the work myself. Dustin came out today for the quarterly service. He was so polite and helpful. I had a cicada stuck inside my porch light making a horrible noise, and he volunteered to get it out for me. Then he knocked down all the spider webs around my house. He followed up with a treatment all around the outside of the house. Star City Pest hires the nicest people, even the person who answers the phone. And I never see bugs in my house!

I wish I could remember the name of the technician. He went above and beyond. I called for an inspection of our living room fireplace after having multiple wasps come into the house. Upon visual inspection, there was no sign of a nest. The best guess was that the wasps were coming down the chimney to get out of the cold and coming through the large openings around our damper which would not close properly. The technician took the time to clear out the copious amount of debris that was preventing the damper from closing (it was gross!). He then closed up the damper and cleaned up the fireplace - and CHARGED NOTHING! There have been no more wasps in out living room. We ordered a scoop and a half of mulch from One Earth last year and we are preparing to order from them again. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and helpful at their business location, and the mulch was delivered the same day-- much quicker than we anticipated. The driver kindly dumped it exactly where we needed it, leaving us nothing to clean up. The mulch is top quality: we have had no problem with mold or weeds, and even the leftover quantity that overwintered beneath a tarp is in great shape. We used it to mulch a small, new project and are planning our next delivery for this week or next. We will likely be adding soil to the list this year. Highly recommend One Earth!

I am very pleased with the work performed recently by the crew of Camouflage Tree Experts, Inc., in removing some limbs hanging over the garage, and cutting out the smaller dead branches throughout the tree. The limbs, branches, and debris were shredded, and the area was cleaned up before they left the property. I used this company many years ago to remove a large tree, and am so glad they are still in business.
We've had Bartlett twice evaluate trees around our property and remove some that threatened our house. They were friendly and worked safely and efficiently. They are experts in tree care and very thoughtful on how to manage the plants around your house and structures over time.

Martin did several jobs for me, I noticed when he was on his backhoe he worked very methodically. Martin also did concrete work for me, poured slab to extend my carport and by the walkout basement door; he also put a new sewer line in for me for a much lower price than who I ordinally was going to use. Cut down about 7 trees in my back yard.
To all of the dashcam watchers who are reviewing Jay's Tree Service because of a video of one of their employees committing a hit and run, note that the owner immediately fired the employee and is working with law enforcement. Any business can hire someone that turns out to be a bad person regardless of background checks or a good interview. Please show a little compassion; no business owner would knowingly hire someone who would put their community at risk and jeopardize the business they put their heart and soul into. This is the worst nightmare come true for any small business owner and there are other employees who earned good reviews as you can see as you scroll. They need their jobs and, to some extent, are also victims of this one guy's actions.
The owner didn't try to hide or evade questions, they took action and are working with police to ensure that justice is served. To me that shows some ethics, and that's why I gave them a good review. I wish them and the victims in the other car the best.

I love it here:) the receptionists are the SWEETEST and so kind, the doctor is understanding and really caring, he really focuses on trying to find comfort and solutions as soon as possible. I had been having a discomfort and tension in my neck and back and it was causing a lot of difficulties with standing, sitting, and laying down for long periods of time, but over the course of three weeks, that discomfort and pain is almost gone! I know that it is going to always be a different journey to feeling comfort for everyone and that it might not be as fast as three weeks, I’m grateful that he was able to hear my concerns and tackle the problem head on so I could feel comfort so quickly.

I could not be happier with my experience with Ironsides. Dr. Varnell came to my farm within 2 hours of my first call for an emergency with my goat, Phillip. She was quick, knowledgeable, and caring. Phillip made a full recovery! This is a fantastic vet service for our small, backyard hobby farm.
This has been our Vet for our dogs for many years, and when we had to put one of our dogs down they went above and beyond in comforting us in that tough time. They love our dogs just like they were one of their own and you just don't find that at some of the other Vets we used to go to.

I brought in four male mice, having always heard that they needed to be neutered to be caged together because otherwise male mice can fight. They were still fairly small, and the doctor advised the following:
- He didn't recommend operating on them because they were still small and had not displayed any signs of aggression.
- He suggested bringing them back if and when they did become aggressive.
- He suggested switching from seed mix to pellets because it would be a better nutritional balance.
The doctor was right on EVERY count. That was over a year ago, and the boys have never fought. They are the sweetest together, playing and sleeping and cuddling together all the time. They love running on their wheels at the same time, which is hilarious to watch on the video feeds. They get along perfectly.
The switch to pellets was also a huge success. They love the pellets and no more concerns about picky eating in seed mixes.
To Dr. Stewart and staff: please know that those four boy mice are still peacefully living together and having a blast in their enclosure. Thank you for the sound advice!
The folks were kind and caring and very helpful. I am very thankful for those who took care of our dog. Their willingness to help even though it turned out not to be as serious as we first thought. They put the pets first and we are so grateful.

Angie keeps my neck and shoulders loose and eases the arthritis pain and stiffness throughout my body. I also have fibromyalgia and without Angie I would stay in constant pain. Have been a client for many years and highly recommend.

Due to my current life situation it's hard to make any appointments in advance. Decided on Friday 11/15 that I wanted to take a day trip to Roanoke to get away on Saturday 11/16 so I tried to get an last minute appointment for a very long overdue massage and a few different places and had almost given up hope in finding one that would fit my schedule and needs. I called Creative Balance and got the answering machine but didn't leave a message. To my surprise I got a return call from Penny after taking with her just a few minutes was very pleased that she has two openings for me and my husband fur Saturday. And what a blessing she is very caring and understanding to my needs. Personal touch very friendly and relaxed. I will be coming back very soon and hopefully more often. She made me feel like I was a guest in her home not just a client in her office. Thank you so very much Penny for listening to me and making me feel comfortable.

Need a muscle miracle?? Try Kate!! I have very long-term muscle tension, spasms, twitching, stiffness, pain, etc. (from PTSD and other normal daily activities). I am so blessed to have found Kate a couple of years ago. I go to her regularly and can describe her only as a MIRACLE WORKER. She is very kind, intuitive, and gentle but STRONG enough to calm down my muscles each and every visit. I never want to leave when the hour is up because I am feeling so good, relaxed, and even happy! She finds and fixes muscles that I didn’t even realize were screwed up. Her office is huge, beautiful, and makes you feel good when you walk in. I can’t imagine that there is anyone in the world better than she is at what she does. I am one zillion % happy that I found her, and recommend her 1 trillion zillion %. THANK YOU, KATE!

I got referred when the orthopedic doctor said I would need double knee replacements. He sent me in hopes of putting off the inevitable. Much to my surprise...that is exactly what happened. After six months of physical therapy, he put off my surgery stating he did not feel surgery needed to take place at this time. I really cannot thank all of the staff at Sorva for their support, caring, and assistance in this journey! I have an immense amount of thanks to give to my therapist for being patient and listening to my hardships and wins along the way. It has been tough, yet bearable. I will be stopping by from time to time just to say hi as I will miss all of them…my biggest cheerleaders!
If you have pain Rick Sidor is the best! (SOR Electric Rd), As a PT, chiropractor, and acupuncturist, he can use his variety of skills to alleviate pain. He'll give you stretching and strengthening exercises you need. Ben, the PT Aide will show you how to do them and see that you do them correctly. As you are able, Ben will add to them and eventually have you use weight machines to build your strength. The atmosphere is great, starting with Pat greeting you at the desk. I enjoyed talking with other patients doing exercises as well as Pat, Ben, and Rick. Now that I am no longer in PT I can return to my gym and know which machines I need an what weight to start with. I went to Rick in pain but now feel Rick has given me the tools to use to stay active and pain free.
I highly recommend choosing cds if you are interested in obtaining your cdl. The student coordinators in the office and the instructors in the classroom and driving range are very professional. They all do a great job in helping you get your license.

Great educational information on driver improvement given by Perry Manning. Presented in an interesting manner that helped me absorb the material. I doubt anyone wants to spend their Saturday in a DIP class but if you need to take one, this is it for a helpful, positive experience.
