“We are a military family transferring here from overseas. It was extremely important for us to locate a Taekwondo academy that would provide traditional Korean techniques, disciplines, & respect. My daughter has been in TaeKwonDo since the age of 3. As a military child, she had to transfer twice before arriving here. This academy would be her third. Although, each Academy has their unique way of teaching, it was a top priority that our duaghter was recognized and evaluated for her previous tenure and experience in TaeKwonDo. Master Hwang was understanding, so he helped create an individual progress criteria for our daughter. This meant our daughter would have to demonstrate to all staff & instructors that she was equipped with the skills, committed to improvement, and dedicated to achieve all that was expected of her. We have been here 4months and our daughter has been thriving in his academy, she has already promoted up the ranks (belts) and has shown great strength and passion. Master Hwang, Master Ma, and his entire staff are remarkable at building confidence, instilling respect, and accommodating to student individual needs. We, as a military family and with Korean roots, highly recommend this academy for all ages. My son has started TaeKwonDo again and has been eager to progress.“

“My 6 year old was going to summer camp with a boy with anger issues who kicked her, called her names, etc. We obviously worked with her and talked to the coach, but when I saw there was a trial of "Bullyproof" at the Jiu Jitsu studio, we decided it was a good opportunity! My 3 year old started mat munchkins, which is adorable. He loves it and "gets his wilds out." He's also around all these older kids and teens who are both really helpful to him and really respectful, so it's great modeling. I hope he'll be one of those kids in years to come. My daughter goes to Bullyproof and loves it too. She practices conflict deescalation, using her voice, appropriate body language, and of course, jiu jitsu! The instructors are great and also really silly so it takes away any intensity from the subject. My husband wrestles with her and has already noticed that her body awareness is really changing. She keeps wanting me to look at her "strong muscles." :D It's a great thing to accompany her through her growth in childhood! I'm very grateful! When we have more time my husband and I want to take classes too! We're really enjoying everyone there and what they're offering our family!“
