They do not push any treatment but make sure you understand the options available. I've been going to Great Falls now over 10 years now and they have helped me get through some very rough times with my pets. I travel from Falls Church to Great Falls because I trust them that much with the care of my pets.“

Most recently with Katherine Newland, DVM, i brought my dog in with a limp - something ive seen other vets for in the past, and she gave the most thorough exam and talked us through our options also with a lot of detail. “I frantically contacted Kentlands Veterinary Hospital when I needed urgent help with my dog. It was near closing and my own vet practice wouldn't stay late to see my dog. I called an emergency vet and they said there was an 8 hour wait. I called Kentlands vet and said I wasn't a client, but I desperately needed help. The doctor offered to stay late to see my dog even though I wasn't a client. She is clearly passionate about animals, placing their needs above her own. She was quickly able to diagnose the problem and literally saved me hours of waiting and hundreds of dollars at the emergency vet. I was so grateful for the excellent care and even more for the extreme kindness in our time of need. Can't say enough wonderful things about this place!“

“Such a great vet experience! My dog is extremely anxious, and the staff were all so gentle and patient with her. Dr Jones himself was down on the floor with her while he did the examination, and let her hide under a chair while he checked her eyes and ears. She was so much more comfortable by the time the appointment was finished, and it was all thanks to the thoughtful and caring treatment of the staff. Great place!“

“As a nurse, I was very pleased with the care given to my “boys”. I had my two cats neutered here, and I felt like they really took great care of them. They went above and beyond to make sure that their procedures went as smoothly as possible. The front desk even texted me an update on how my boys were doing which I thought was so nice, since I was worried about them. And Elise the vet tech was so informative and helpful. “Had my 13 cat Mollie at the Hope clinic for ultrasound evaluation today. Unfortunately, they found through ultrasound Mollie has cancer and is terminal. Dr Sholes took care of her and she was outstanding. She was very kind and compassionate handling this delicate situation. The staff was excellent showing kindness and empathy for my difficult situation. If your animal needs emergency care this is the best clinic in the area as far as I am concerned. “My 12 and 1/2 year old German Shepherd was having issues with arthritis in her hind legs. Following an exam of the entire dog and discussion with me, Hunter Mill’s doctor gave my shepherd an injection of Librela that seems to have given my dog new life and energy. Her arthritis issues are greatly reduced. We highly recommend this veterinary clinic and Librela. My 12 1/2 year old dog can now play and enjoy life better than last week prior to the injection. I’m told that the positive effects should last for about 30 days. We will be back next month for another injection.“

“I have enjoyed this animal hospital for my black lab. I transferred from Vienna, which I also liked, but happen to like Reston more as pricing seems more fair. I also was able to experience their honesty when having to have teeth pulled. My dog has stayed with them in their kennel and it was a great experience. My only complaint is they don’t do weekends anymore.“
