I have a family member here now. I am not happy with the way some (not all) of the nurses and techs talk to us or to my family member. Sometimes rude, often just dismissive and unhelpful. I don’t think they are happy with their jobs and take it out on the patients by being aloof and acting like they are bothered with every request. One made my family member cry due to their bad attitude about helping with a trip to the bathroom. Perhaps this is not a good place to work! Rehab team itself is great though.

The new security that VHC has put in place is overkill. This is very patient unfriendly. I went in for a procedure on 2/29/2024 and you feel like in a third world country under a war zone. I got there early and went up to the cafeteria. When I went downstairs to pre op check in, I forgot to put my guest id on, and went through harassment with the guards. This hospital is located in a very upscale area, not in some gang infested sketchy area. The old Arlington hospital used to be very patient friendly, but since being taken over by VHC has went downhill. I hope the management f will read this post and reevaluate this, for the better of all patrons and visitors.
