“Paul Tom’s jiu Jitsu is exactly the place for someone who is shy or intimidated about joining a new jiu jitsu gym. As a recovering loner I loved going to jiu jitsu here because everyone is so welcome and Paul Tom himself is warm and inviting and friendly. As a beginner, I found the instruction helpful and approachable. If you have a free night, stop by for a free session.“

“I recently signed up for martial arts training at The Dojo - Perry’s Martial Arts with my teenage daughter, who wanted to try it out but didn’t want to be the only new student. We joined the teen/adult classes, and the mix of ages makes it a great fit for both of us. Neither of us feel out of place. They also have separate classes for younger kids and advanced students, so everyone gets the right level of instruction.

From day one, I’ve been hooked. I attend every class I possibly can, even if my daughter can’t make it. I already have my sights set on joining the more advanced classes someday because the training is just that good!

Joe Perry is an incredible instructor. He has a fantastic balance of discipline and fun, making sure every student stays on task while keeping the energy high and the atmosphere welcoming. He works so well with students of all ages and skill levels, and I know I’ll continue to be challenged in his classes for years to come. In just a few weeks, I’ve already seen my daughter progress so much!

A personal note: I actually took karate lessons from Joe when I was a kid. He was just starting out as an instructor back then, and even at a very young age, he was an outstanding teacher. I truly believe that training with him changed the trajectory of my life by instilling discipline, confidence, and respect - values that have stuck with me ever since. So when my daughter said she wanted to start martial arts, I knew exactly where we were going.

If you’re considering martial arts training, for yourself or your child, The Dojo is the place to go. I can’t recommend it enough!“

“When my son was diagnosed with ADHD earlier this year, we realized he could really benefit from something that would require discipline and help teach him perseverance. Enrolling him at IMAA has been one of our best decisions! I have been profoundly impressed with every instructor that has worked with my son. His coordination hasn’t been the greatest and other sports have not come naturally. It’s been amazing to watch him improve so quickly in all the areas we hoped to see improvement. And my son LOVES his time there. Where I previously saw him give up and shut down the moment things got difficult I now watch him practice his grit and try his hardest. Ever. Single. Class. Grand Master Augustine is truly an amazing mentor. You can see and feel his passion for helping all his students master vital tenets that will aid them in every aspect of their lives. I am so grateful he is in my son’s orbit to help guide him. But all the instructors my son has learned from have been impeccable. We love IMAA!“
