“I had a great experience at Sumi Hair Studio! Sumi is very nice and efficient. She took her time making sure that she gave me the hair cut I asked for. She stopped to ask follow up questions during each step of the hair cut to be sure that I was okay with the length of my hair and layers. Overall, I’m really happy with my hair and Sumi’s work :)“

“I love this salon so much. Just had my second haircut from Taylor, and it was amazing. She works so well with curly hair and even gave me some product ideas! She is so sweet and fun! When she washed my hair she gave me a little head massage that was just divine- and the hair washing sinks here didn’t hurt my neck so that was a win! “I am so surprised to see reviews about poor treatment of people of color.
Do the people who wrote these reviews even understand that each stylist has their own clients who already have appointments and do not take walk ins?
Perhaps reading the sign on the door that says “ by appointment only” would help!
Maybe the treatment you think you received was more about you just showing up expecting service from people who were already helping other clients, rather than the color of your skin.
I have been coming to this salon for many years and it’s a wonderful place. The stylist do an absolutely amazing job, everyone is super friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful!
Of course I have an appointment and am not expecting them to ignore their current clients to help me so maybe that’s why I had a different experience. Go figure.“
