“Our first choice for our dog to go when we are out of town! We boarded our dog here this weekend while we went out of town and had the best experience. The facility is spacious, clean, and well cared for. The staff was friendly and helpful. I appreciated seeing the owner on site and involved in the operation of the facility. “I tried Family Pet Retreat for the first time to board my 3 dogs all under 15lbs Wed.-Sunday July 4th week. I checked out 3 Pet Boarding places and I went with FPR after touring their facility. Very peaceful and quiet area with trees all around. The staff is very nice, facilities are clean and my 3 could be together in their own room. The prices were reasonable and they were close to my neighborhood. Win Win! Would definitely use them again!“

After months of frustration with other vets who only wanted to administer allergy shots for my dog's paw problems, I finally found the right care here. My dog Gigi had a bacterial infection that required both antibiotics and antifungal treatment, and the team identified the issue quickly.

“I used to take my lab here before he passed, now I take my cats here. It’s obvious they care about your animals, one of our cats had cancer and didn’t have much time left and went above and beyond on helping us keep her comfortable in her last few days. We were absolutely distraught and they handled both our cat and us with such grace and compassion.“

“Friendly staff, reasonable pricing, good customer service, and good add on options with play time. The only thing that I didn't like is this last time she stayed I asked when picking her up if I could go see her in the element (dog room), I was told no. I think the lady misunderstood as in thinking I wanted to go myself to get her from.the back. I said I just wanted to go with them to see her in the back. They told me no, that it was against their policy. I feel as if I am paying for someone to watch my dog I should be able to see her briefly in that space. One lady said it could make the dog nervous. It was at pickup, not drop off. My dog wouldn't get nervous she would be happy. That is the only thing I didn't like.“

“Highly recommend this program! We needed a trainer since I was going to be recovering from surgery and wanted our lab puppy to receive a good education while I was down. After a month with Darryl, our pup came home with great manners, a clear understanding of what’s expected, and more respect for our Cavalier and other dogs. She is still her playful, goofy self, but has this peaceful confidence and reliable focus that make life with her very easy. Darryl’s program has a great balance of consistency and structure without being overly harsh. We are so thankful for Darryl!“

“This is an excellent place for dogs. Following Hurricane Beryl and a prolonged power outage where we struggled to find pet-friendly accommodations, we left our dogs there for about a week. Upon picking them up, we were pleased to see that they were well-cared for and seemed content. The staff is exceptional, and the facility is clean. I will not hesitate to bring my dogs here again.“
