I’ve been going to the owner, Val, for many years and she’s the best. I’ve also been to at least three other stylists in the salon for color in the past and they are all great and personally trained by Valerie, the owner.
The best part of Mirror and I is that you pay an hourly rate and no tipping. Knowing what you’re going to pay in advance shouldn’t be a groundbreaking experience, but in this industry, it totally is!
Curl specialists. It really is true. If you have natural curl or wave in your hair and want to accentuate it, this is THE salon. Rosemary is the stylist who does my hair and she not only cuts it, but she shows me how to do what I need to style it the way I want. You pay by the hour, no tipping and it’s a neat space - not highbrow or intimidating, just professional and pleasant.
Valerie the shop owner is fantastic! She gave me expert tips and changes to make that were easy to implement into my existing routine. She took the time to understand my hair and my goals, made me feel very confident in both her skills and my ability to keep my hair healthy and happy in between appointments, all with a great attitude and fun conversation! I can’t wait to come back! 😊
