“So I put a extensive and expensive solar system in several years ago. It worked flawlessly until I was told that the power wall 2 batteries do great until they catch fire and burn your home down. My installer went out of business as did a few more .Greenstar unfortunately playing a game of hot potato was unfortunate to get my account . Shortly after getting it, Tesla announced 10000 of their power wall 2 batteries have to be replaced. There was also a delay in the replacement battery production. I contacted Greenstar who really had no skin in the game with me. They never worked with me before, but now have the responsibility of dealing with a problem that they didn't create.They could not have been more professional, polite and helpful. Zach was very helpful . He was able to get the batteries approved and continued communication with me until they arrived. Once they arrived, he had to work with Tesla to understand how to upgrade because
my system was for powerwall 2 not necessarily powerwall 3 and I had more than one battery. He came out with his crew which required four people because the batteries each weigh close to 300 pounds BEFORE they even figured out how to bill Tesla for their time! They spent at least 10 hours installing the four batteries which included taking off the ones I had putting them on the truck etc. They were clearly going to be overtime and the guys said they're going stay until the work is finished. Bottom line this is a first class operation and if Tesla is smart they would make Greenstar the installer of choice. The last thing you want is warranty work and then have it done by someone who's not enthusiastic OR competent. I highly recommend Greenstar both for your system and service .
I strongly suggest Tesla award them as many replacement jobs as possible if they don't want a bunch of angry customers. Things don't work sometimes and people accept the fact that you may need to replace parts. Working with Greenstar made it very palatable.“
