The owner is an older gentleman who has a vast amount of knowledge and experience in repairing vacuum cleaners. I had a Generation 3 Kirby, which I had purchased in 1988. Yes, I still use it because it is well-made. I noticed for some time that it had been making an odd sound. Took it in as Katy Vacuum and he immediately was able to tell what was wrong with it after 30 seconds. My model is 35 years old. He had to completely take it apart to fix the issue. Had this been someone else, the person would have declined fixing it because it was "too old". My Generation 3 was the first major purchase I ever did with my wife. Yes, I could have bought a new one, but it has so much sentimental value. Bottom line: the owner worked a miracle and repaired something that was deemed "too old" by other repair places. Also, Katy Vacuum has awesome deals on other vacuum cleaners. I bought an extra Kirby from Katy Vacuum. Why not? The price for a used one was unbeatable. If my Generation 3 is 35 years old and running, getting a newer one should last me until I go to Heaven. Do yourself a favor and take your vacuum cleaner for repair to Katy Vacuum OR buy a vacuum from this establishment.
This place was a life saver! he had 2 odd items availed got my repairs in stock! pretty crazy this day and age!My big ball Dyson need replace balls and he had a set brand new in stock!! My handheld Dyson needed a pole so I didn't want to bend so far after back surgery. He said leave it and let me check my used part inventory! Sure enough he had it! Very Very fast turnaround and great price! Highly recommend this business!!
Cannot praise this place more - my Brother Project Runway sewing machine needed serious help. It received that in spades from Katy Vacuum plus the owner helped me avoid future issues by suggesting the right thread to purchase to prevent dust and snarling as you sew. So pleased and it was even ready early. Just a great experience with a true craftsman!
