With the dedication of volunteers has transformed this once-neglected cemetery into a beautiful and peaceful space. This transformation ensures that the history held within these grounds, including the gravesite of the infamous Clyde Barrow, is preserved and accessible for future generations. A Huge Thank You to all the incredible volunteers!

Western Heights Cemetery holds the infamous Clyde Barrow the leader of The Barrow Gang & the leading man of the duo Bonnie & Clyde. Next to him also lyes his brother Marvin “Buck” Barrow the older brother of Clyde.
Clyde is most known for he’s criminal escapades & luring tales of a romantic Shakespearean story line that of a Romeo & Juliet loyalty story that ended in a tragic bloody ambush from law enforcement, a product of high end stakes , “The Dirty 30s” & “The Great Depression Area”

I've spent many hours visiting Western Heights Cemetery, wandering along the trails and enjoying the natural beauty, taking photographs at various times of day and learning (on tours with Van) about the history of the area, people buried here, their descendants, and the natural landscape that benefits the community by attracting a variety of birds as well as bees and other pollinators. Well worth a visit if you're in the Dallas area.
